Purchased on vacation in Daytona, brought back to Nashville. Poured from 12 oz. bottle into NB globe glass.
A: Pours dark and thick, half inch off-white head with pretty good lacing and retention.
S: Heavy smell of malts, oat, toasted nuttiness, and dried fruit.
T: Nutty and smoky with a malty aftertaste. Some slight hop bitterness. Flavors of caramel and toffee.
M: Medium bodied, slick, bubbly. Nice consistency, not too heavy or syrupy.
O: Haven't had a Cigar City offering yet that wasn't impressive. Many brown ales rely too much on over-bearing sweetness. This beer doesn't overdo it which is a nice change of pace.

A: Poured from the can into a pint glass. Body is dark brown with a half-finger light-brown head that settles very quickly.
S: Modestly sweet malt dominates - toffee, caramel malt and a touch of brown sugar.
T: Follows the nose - sweet caramel malt, touch of cinnamon and toffee. Some fruity sweetness.
M: Light in heft, thinnish in feel. Carbonation is fairly active and fizzy.
O: Good. Doesn't blow me away - a bit too thin in feel.
