Ale is a nice brown color with a small foam cap. It fades to just a wispy veil.
Sweet smelling maltiness over a desent hop bill.
Tastes of sweet breads to start followed by coffee and espresso flavors ending with a hint of chocolate. Desent hop taste that doesn't interfer with the malts. Hops are there just for the bittering aspect I think.
Silky smooth and nicly balanced beer. Full bodied.
I think it lacks a bit on the appearance side, it needs a bit more foamy action.
Otherwise good, real good.
Drink well my friends.

A: Dark brown, opaque, 2 fingers width of light tan head, pretty good retention, but leaves effectively no lacing.
S: Dark roasted malts, heavy cream, char, chocolate malt.
T: Follows the nose with cream and roasted malt. A good amount of bakers chocolate, some herbaceous notes, and mild bitterness. Tasty.
M/D: Medium body, carbonation on the heavy side but appropriate, drinkability is good.
O: Not my favorite style, but quite an enjoyable beer. Certainly worth a try.
