Thanks to miamichael3. Bottled in November 2011. 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

Pours a murky, deep brown. A thin tannish head develops and falls fairly quickly. Some small bubbles collect on one side of the glass and leave little, if any, lacing.

The nose is fairly sweet. There is some nice toasted malt, along with a hint of some char. Not only is it very malt forward, as expected, but there are little to no hops that come through.

The taste has a bit more to offer than the nose. The taste is actually pretty bold. Roasted and toasty malt comes on strong at first with some light chocolate notes. The char is more pronounced here and it leads to some tobacco that comes at the finish and lingers in the aftertaste.

Although the body and carbonation are in the medium range the beer feels more robust than that. The fuller feel really goes well with the bolder taste.

This is a very good brown ale. Low in ABV but big in flavor and feel. The nose wasn't as good as the taste but the flavor made up for the lack of aroma.

Appearance - Pours a nice dark brown with a quick cream head.

Smell - The toasted malts come through great on my nose. Also hints of cocoa, caramel, and vanilla tease.

Taste - Sweet Jesus. This beer is good. Sweet on the front and bitter grabs the buds on the back end. It tastes exactly like it smells...delicious!

Mouthfeel - Carbonation is moderate, but my only complaint is that it isn't dense enough.

Overall - This is a great beer. Could possibly be my new session beer. Give it a whirl and taste for yourself. Cheers!

Pours dark brown with a full tan head that has good retention and leaves glass clinging side lace.
Aroma: Molasses, black licorice, dark coffee and bready maltiness.
Taste: malty, creamy and smooth with the coffee and molasses most noticeable.
Finishes dry with a little bitter chocolate and warming.
Pretty nice from start to finish.

Pours a very dark brown with a thin, tan head. The aroma is lightly roasted malts, caramel, faint coffee, and a little bit of hops. The flavor is light to medium body, sweet throughout. Smooth and creamy, and clean, but somewhat dry in the finish. Pretty good Brown Ale, very sessionable.

I'm in FLorida on business and I've been terribly sad about the beer offerings. Turns out that I was looking in the wrong place. The lobby bar in my hotel has 7 or 8 Florida brews on hand.

I'm a malt guy so I picked the brown ale - this one.

I poured it slowly - so it had about a finger of nice, firm, long lasting head - slightly cream colored. The smell is warm, malty and sweet - and matches the flavor nicely.

The oats really do their work in this beer - spectacular mouth feel. The sweet malty oilyness sticks with you.

I'm really impressed. It's lightly hopped - just enough to balance, but this is a very malt-forward beer.

I'm a newcomer to Florida craft brewing - but if this is how they do it down here I'm a fan.

We don't get Cigar City in New Jersey, but when I visited Florida I picked up a few of their offerings. They have a great reputation for being the best brewer in Florida. I was so excited to try this beer, that I shipped it back to New Jersey.

I like the way this brown looks. It is brown with a little bit of redness to it. You get a couple fingers of foam on top.

It smells good. I smell malt and tobacco in the aroma. It makes for a pretty good smelling brown.

This is a very drinkable brown. The malt flavor is very good. I could drink this all day.

I recommend picking up this brown. It is a very good get.

A- something off right away. Tons of foam. Overflows the bottle before I even have time to pour. Pours a deep chocolate brown

S- smells sweet and light. Typical nutmeg and brown ale odors

T - nutty with hints of malt

M- a little bit malty. Just a bit of coarseness on the finish

O- just an average brown ale in my opinion, nothing special here.
