I believe this one is the Jai Lai IPA aged on cedar, and if so the ceadr surely chnages this into an entrely different brew...
Appearance is golden copper in color, decent fluffy head taht stays around a bit. Looks very close to Jai Lai.
Aromas of citrus hops, followed by a hint of natural cedar and a subtle balance of malt sweetness.
Tastes as it smells with much more cedar character showing through in the taste. The cedar seems to balance/smooth out the hop bitterness, creating a dance of hops vs cedar.
Mothfeel is medium+ body and medium+ carbonation.
Impressive brew for a unique twist with the "Humidor" / cedar character. Not really my type of thing as I associate cedar with pine like character, which is a bit of a turnoff for me. Well done, unique and impressive balance of a unique aged wood idea. Just not top on my list for "drinkability", I prefer Jai Lai minus any wood... thanks but no thanks...
