Thanks to CoastieSimon for this extra.
Pours light orange and just a little hazy, producing two fingers of white head. This slowly fades to a nice cap.
Some hops and malt are present in the nose, but the oak is dominant here. If somebody asked me what oak aging smells like in a beer, I would point them to this.
There is a very nice balance of hops, malt, and oak flavors in this beer. It leads in just a little sweet, then shows the bitter hops. The finish is dry, bitter, and oaky.
Medium-bodied with a nice level of carbonation, this is quite drinkable.
Overall, a very enjoyable beer. I find it much more interesting than standard Jai Alai, and am glad to have been able to try it.

A - light IPA in appearance. Looks light and refreshing in glass.
S - Hop city here with a dash of sweaty old gym sock. Funk Town, USA.
T - kind of disappointing. This is a workout. Albeit, I am not a serious hophead, I do appreciate a good IPA. This thing is a workout. Seriously bitter, I don't see that the oak age mellowed this guy out too much. Lots of bite, I can't see doing more than two of these in a day. If bitter hop taste is your thing, go for it.
M - nothing to see here. Not very memorable.
O - picked this up because I am visiting family in the Tampa area and I had heard positive buzz about cigar city and this beer. I'll pass on this one if I see it again.
