Thanks to mrpepino for this extra, cheers! June bottling.
Appearance – Pours a hazy, cloudy orange into a tulip. About a half finger of slight off white head is achieved with a moderate pour.
Smell – Pale malts, slight oak and vanilla, caramel, and just a hint of hops.
Taste – I’m assuming this might be a bit past its prime. The flavors start off with quite a bit of oak and vanilla. A hint of smokiness is present midway through. As the beer warms more bitterness comes through which is a bit odd. The beer finishes with a heavy caramel, toffee backbone.
Mouthfeel – Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.
Overall – A decent IPA. Even though it may be a bit past its prime, it is still quite tasty.
