A: Pours a nice opaque golden/copper color with a white head.
S: Pear, grape, what I imagine wine must smells like, earthy/funky Belgian yeast and just a touch of oak in the nose.
T: In a word, odd. Caramel, citrus, brettanomyces, somewhat earthy. Sweet and nectary.
M: Very smooth for an IPA and medium bodied.
O: Dear Cigar City, aging Jai Alai on white oak is trying to fix something that's not broken, and ending up breaking it. Is it good? Yes, but it's nowhere near as good as the regular jai alai. Still recommended, but between this and the regular Jai Alai, I'd always choose regular.
