12 oz undated bottle (presumably 2012) served in an Anchor Steam pint glass.
Looks like an amber or red ale but smells [3.75] like a pale ale or IPA, with the hops far more evident than the malts. Still hoppy for style in tasting, with at least as much hop presence as the surprising nose suggests. The malt is a bit more obvious in tasting, but little enough to leave this a moderately bitter and quite hoppy "red" ale. Relatively high ABV is almost completely hidden in the flavor and aroma, but lends some harshness to the feel.

A nice extra in a recent trade. Poured from 12 oz can into tulip glass.
A: Ruby tinted brown with a generous 3 finger fluffy white head that left some nice chunky lacing.
S: Resiny hops, oranges, caramel.
T: A nice balance of citrus notes with bitterness from the hops. A bit of sweetness creeps in at the last minute.
M: Medium body with a good level of carbonation. Easy drinking brew.
O: This a nicely balanced red ale. Would be a nice one to have 6 or 12 on the boat for a nice day of fishing...
