A: Orange brown and red with only a tint of haze, no carbonation. 3 fingers of orange cream head. A little crusty lacing.

S: Big citrus piney fresheness pops out of the can on opening without even lifting it to my nose. Orange candy, malt, red pepper.

T: Orange candy, pine, sweet, citrus, spicy like orange peel and mulling spices. In spite of the big freshness of hop character, not a huge bitterness. Emphasis seems to be on the finishing hops which keep the freshness.

M: Medium, slightly resinous, lightly syrupy body with little carbonation.

O: Excellent, definitely one of my favourites in this style. Will give it 9 out of 10. Bought in Lakeland, FL, drank in Kansas City, MO, August 10th, 2014.

Pours a deep crimson with hop aromas that explode from the can. Mouth-feel is full with an intense, yet pleasant malt backbone. Notes of sweet citrus linger long after the finish. Mild to moderate alcohol warming with a lingering sweet finish. Review is from a can purchased at Cigar City Brewing approximately two weeks after canning (3/14/14) consumed on 8/8/14.

12oz can received as an extra from respected BA trader KRG. Date on bottom of can 7/8/2014.

Amber/ruby, clear elixir poured into SA perfect pint glass. Huge 2-finger head with remaining half inch of foam as the tasting progresses. Thick lacing from top to bottom.

Big caramel and sweet citrus up front, spice, earth and bready malt round out the complex aromas.

A real nice, smooth hop bitterness carries this brew with notes of citrus, sweet malt and caramel.

Medium body, smooth, alcohol hidden.

A real nice red ale. It was better when the first batches rolled off the line, with an accent on the hops and the malt taking a backseat. This one is much more balanced, which to this hop head, is not an improvement. Still solid and a nice representation of the style.

Canned 7/8/14, poured into a pint

A- pours a deep amber color with a small creamy white head that reduces to a small ring around the glass, good clarity

S- Citrusy hop aromas with an emphasis on grapefruit zest, earthy & leafy, caramel malt & fresh sweet bread. Fresh hop aroma really sticks out

T- citrusy hop flavors with more grapefruit zest coming through, and some orange peel. Fresh leafy notes lead to sweet caramel maltiness with doughy beady sweetness, the finish is bone dry, but lingers of citrusy hop

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel and a smooth & velvety dry finish

O- this is an outstanding amber ale, the fresh citrusy hops are balanced tremendously with a sweet caramel malt backbone. If this were regularly available to me, it would be a staple in my rotation
