Review from notes at World of Beer - Fort Myers on 9/17/11.
Poured on draft into a tulip.
Appearance: Cloudy medium gold with a 3 finger foamy snow why head. Excellent lacing.
Smell: Wine grape hulls with a touch of vinegar.
Taste: Light grains up front followed by a touch of sourness ending with a decent hoppy finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-to-medium-bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Good drinkability. The low ABV% means you could drink several of these.
Overall: Pretty good beer overall. It's below the very high standards of Cigar City, in my opinion, but it's still a solid beer. Not my favorite saison by any means, but it's worth a shot.
Serving type: on-tap

This is disappointing because it's the first bad beer I've ever had from Cigar City, the first one that's less than really good. From the very first sip it tasted like a cheap, generic macro that somebody had spilled a little bit of saison in. I checked the ABV thinking maybe it was an attempt at a session beer but not really: 5%. The other people at my table felt the same. We didn't want to finish them and waste stomach space.
