Notes/Commercial Description:
This saison pours hazy to clear straw in color with notes of honey and tropical fruit. Flavor has tropical fruit with a lemony bitterness and hints of clove in the finish. Sorachi Ace and Citra hops add lots of flavor to this small, sessionable beer.

Poured from a growler into a tumbler. I picked this up at Cigar City Brewing during the Hunahpu release event. Growler is 14 days old

A: Pours a golden hue with a slight haze cloudiness. Head was about 2 fingers worth of bright white fluffy foam, but recedes very quickly to a ring. Even after 2 weeks in a growler, carbonation was streaming off the bottom of the glass.

S: Nose Is very floral, big citrus notes, and a hint of peppery spice. Nice barnyard/wet hay funk notes as well.

T: Taste is of grains, light hop notes, and then a light sour note hits at the end of the tongue.

M: Medium bodied; Good mouth feel, cracker-like matiness coats the tongue just enough to let you savor the notes. The carbonation then cleans the palate and refreshes. Overall a good saison with some light hoppiness.

First beer at World of Beer, Fort Myers, FL - 9/28/2011.

Into a tulip, this appears cloudy and golden with two fingers of billowing white head that retains adequately while also displaying some clinging abilities.

Nose is yeasty, full of lemon peel and spice with some breadiness to it as well. Not as robust as other Saisons, but this is called a "table saison", so the mild nature is to be expected.

Lemon and tropical pineapple dominate out of the gate, giving way to clove and some herbal presence, finishing with a moderate hop bitterness. Grain and malt permeates throughout the beer, contributing balance to the ever so light sour tang from the citrus.

Light bodied, this is obviously easy drinking and quite sessionable at 4.5%.

Not a bad Saison; I get what they were trying to do and I think it works. This is a crisp, refreshing and affordable beer for those who really enjoy the style, but don't want to break the bank on bolder options. Cheers!

Great saison on a hot day. Rated 5% abv. Wild yeast aromas are yummy. Cloudy yellow with tons of lace, only a little head. Carbonation right there. White pepper and a tad of cayene. Great drinkability, refreshes in the early summer weather.
On tap at the brewery.

On tap at Vine and Barley Palm City. Served in a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy orange body. Big fluffy white head. Thick collar and nice lacing.

Smell - Grassy and kinda lemony. Herbal hoppiness. Grainy cracker malt.

Taste - Grassy and a hint of sweetness. Pale malt. A little citrusy. Herbal bitter finish.

Mouthfeel - Medium light. Well carbonated.

Overall - Easy drinking and kinda interesting, but not interesting in a really great way.

a treat i got to try in tampa, and i have to say their lighter beers impress the hell out of me.

Nice head of three inches or more caps off the top of the glass and falls down effortlessly into a broken and rocky cushion of foam. Light aroma of bananas and pears, hints of light peach and a floral, albeit light hop note to it. Warming brings out a touch of grain that serves to balance it quite nicely. Smooth, elegant flavor. Light notes of fruit, touches of grass and a slight floral flavor all combine quite nicely.

On-tap at Rattle ‘n Hum, New York, NY

A: The beer is hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a finger high white head that gradually died down and left some lacing on the surface and a ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: There are light aromas of lemon and nondescript malts in the nose.
T: The taste has some initial hints of sweetness and is followed by flavors of bready and grainy malts along with lemon from the Sorachi Ace hops.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is some dryness in the finish.
O: This is an average saison but has some interesting properties imparted by the Sorachi Ace hops.

Pours a pale yellow with a finger sized off white head that laces well.

Aroma is light tropical fruits with a good dose of spice lots of peppery notes. Nose is not really funky as some Saison's but still nice and refreshing.

Taste is like the nose bready malts with lots of fruity notes. Lots of spice here big on pepper notes mixed with some lemon grass.

Mouthfeel is spot on for style light carbonation is a little mellow but I like that.

Overall not a complex Saison but very thirst quenching and tasty. Would not mind having this on my table every night while its warm out. It would be perfect if it was a little funky but not complaining.
