Pours a slightly hazed gold with a thumb of cream colored head. No head retention or lacing
S: Pears, grainy notes, orange peels
T: Pears, white pepper, white grapes, & a little orange peel up front. More pear as this warms, a little bit of Golden Delicious Apple as well, ever so faint phenolic notes. Finishes with pears & a little bit of coriander, plus dryness
MF: Light bodied, slight carbonation
Fairly clean tasting Wit, works in the heat, but not terribly interesting

"The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Floridas Palmetto Prairies, Called Quágueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation's oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmated wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie." Brewed in the style of a Belgian Witbier. Florida Cracker is one of Cigar City's year round releases, available in 12 oz. canned 6 packs and on draft.
Poured from a 12 oz. can to a tulip glass. Served above 55º Fahrenheit.
(Appearance) Pours a fizzy crisp ecru-white head over a very clear golden straw body. Carbonation is plentiful and vivacious. Retention is slightly above average, lacing is light and speckled. 4.25
(Smell) Floral nose with hints of slightly bitter orange peel, peppery coriander and slight notes of a perky yeast. Potency is medium/high. 3.75
(Taste) Fluffy wheat creates a solid malt base, following through into a perky spiced finish with a touch of coriander and lingering orange peel for a touch of balance. Cleanliness is top-notch, this drink has a very nice arrangement of flavors, with nothing going overboard. The yeast profile works very well for this beer, perhaps making it a touch cleaner and perkier than other Witbiers that I have had. Very tasty, refreshing enjoyable. 4
(Mouthfeel) Texture is fluffy, chewy, clean. Carbonation generates a moderate frothiness for a lightly crisp mouthfeel. Body is medium for the style, light/medium overall. Balance is just right. Alcohol presence is very light, off characters are minimal. Very clean, highly drinkable. 4
(Overall) A fantastic Witbier that would make a very tasty ale in the dead heat of the summer months. Very clean, flavorful and balanced all calls for a highly drinkable beer. Comes close to matching some of the world's most prolific Witbier recipes. Recommended. 4

Served in a pint at the brass tap. Pours ultra pale straw that's cloudy and hazy. Head is made of large bubbles and deflates fairly quick to a thin sheen of foam across the beer. No lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast and sweet bread with notes if lemon citrus.very clean and straight forward. Taste mirrors the aroma, sweetness is crisp with citrus mixing in a bit. Coriander shows on the pallet and the finish is clean. After taste of unbaked bread. The mouth feel is refreshing and just fizzy enough to excite the taste buds. A wonderful summer option.
