I do not enjoy white ale's, nor Belgian-style yeast, but I liked this beer a lot. That might actually be why my rating here is a bit higher than the expectation. The flavor here was enough for me to get over the sourness of the Belgian yeast, which I don't enjoy. That might explain why others might not always love it as much.

Poured into a snifter.

2.75 A: Hazy medium yellow color. One finger of frothy off-white head. Retention is below average and just a lone wisp of lacing is left.

3.75 S: Big coriander spiciness with light notes of pepper and clove underneath. Mild yeastiness, spicy hops, hay, and neutral sweet maltiness.

4.5 T: So much coriander and I love it. I don't think a beer can be brewed with too much coriander. Otherwise, mild pepper and clove. Earthy hay, neutral malts, and just a touch of lemony fruits.

4.25 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Pleasantly creamy yet crisp and refreshing. Really nice here.

4.5 D: Great witbier. Powerful coriander makes this a tasty summer treat.

Can bottom says "CANNED MAR/10/16 15:28 CHEERS"

And cheers to you. Color: apricot and cloudy with a white head, perhaps a bit of tint in the suds. Fairly fine carbonation, moderately durable foam. Smell: cereal, with some dry tropical grasses. Taste: It's balanced, but not very big. It's pleasant enough, with some expected yeasty and fruity flavors, but it's a bit watery on the backside. Also a bit of pepper on the top. The flavor blend is nice, but it would be better if it were stronger, more forceful. Mouthfeel minimal. My first beer from this brewery, and I'd be glad to try another.

About the color of a lager, slightly hazy, thin lacy white head. Virtually no smell. Taste is relatively bland with just the slightest Belgian twang.. Not entirely my cup of tea, but I could drink if nothing else were available.

Pours a hazy golden straw color with a thick creamy white head.

It has that funky belgian smell that is so good with some notes of sweet and spice and then that wheat-y finish. Very nice. Taste is a nice wheat flavor with some spice and coriander notes. Subtle citrus undertones give it some real complexity and depth. Its pretty carbonated which makes this beer "pop" when you drink it. Very light mouthfeel and very smooth.

Overall I wasn't expecting much, but this beer was really good - nice balancing of the complexity of the style while still making a very drinkable beer especially in hot florida weather. .

This is my second review of a CC beer. Tough to come by back home, but seem to be one of the better FL breweries. Color pours a hazy straw yellow, good look. Flavor is bread, orange, and just a taste of coriander...similar aroma. Mouthfeel was a touch intense for a white, but youll find worse. All-in-all its worth your time.

Can. Pours like a witbier should. Phenols, coriander, wheat, spices. I find these descriptors both in flavor and aroma. Body has a creamy aspect to it. It maintains a light weight on the tongue. Far from memorable, yet I was not unhappy with the sample.

Another offering from Cigar City and another great beer from the Mecca of craft brewers in F-L-A.

I really enjoyed this beer across the board - it was probably one of the most solid beers I have had in quite some time. Great Belgian cloudiness from the can, a good mixture of slight hints of citrus and wheat, and a mouthfeel that wasn't too carbonated if watery at the same time. Although not sessionable, I can easily go through four of these (which can make it sort of dangerous - it's a good thing I'm home to enjoy them...) :) Good job, Cigar City...

This beer has an aroma that shows off actual wheat malts very well. Coriander is also there, in a subdued manner - and so is orange peel, in an even more subdued manner. This is a delicate style that requires subtlety and nuance (instead of complexity) to hit the realm of greatness...and I'll say it has that light, deft balance just by going from the nose. Just like the nose suggested, this brings those three notes everyone expects from a witbier. Orange peel is a bit bolder compared to the nose, but there's still a nice finishing coriander flavor. Along side general wheat flavors, I'm also tasting some rudimentary saison characteristics like black pepper and sesame seed after a while. Still, the flavors are balanced very well, which is important for this style. My only real niggle is that it feels slightly bulky for a wit - sure, it's dry, but it also has a bit too much presence on the palate. Still, it's well carbonated and refreshing. I expected just another witbier, instead I got a nicely balanced, vaguely saison-esque brew that's every bit as easygoing as it should be.

3.67/5: This cracker is almost perfectly tailored for Florida weather

APPEARANCE: Murky lemon-yellow. 1 finger of foamy off white head that dissipates quickly. Leaves a ring on top of the beer. Can't see the carbonation. Nice lacing left.
AROMA: Sweet and a little sour. Yeasty-bready wheat, orange, coriander as advertised.
TASTE: Nice and bready, lots of coriander on the finish. Bitterness is low. Slight pleasant sourness to this beer, but mild. A non descript fruitiness to it, maybe apricot and a little orange.
FEEL: Nice medium carbonation. Very smooth and refreshing beer but not too light in body. A little slick at first dries up in the finish just a little bit.
OVERALL: Quite a nice Belgian style white ale. Would be great on a hot day and still gives you some nice flavor.

Pours a hazy deep straw producing 2 fingers of white, shortlived, mostly tight head that leaves only a few motes of lace. Aroma has a sour & yet creamy sherbet like sweetness, bready wheat, some coriander with hints lemon & orange, faint pepper & a faint note of sulfur in the background. Taste is spicy & faintly sour, white bread & thin peach pie, strong to coriander, some orange & other citrus with much less of the creamy sweetness of the nose, finishing slightly acidic & peppery & remaining so into the aftertaste where I believe I can still pick up a faint hint of sulfur. Mouthfeel is moderate to heavy bodied, creamy but slightly sick on the tongue with a high carbonation level that delivers a very active bite.

Can manufactured 10/27/15, poured into Belgian ale glass

L: Pale amber, a bit cloudy. Pour results in 2 finger head, poor retention, no lacing or ring.

S: A bit of orange and coriander, light malt up front.

T: Orange, lemon, coriander, wheat malt. Honey sweetness on finish, but not too much. Just as it should be.

F: Light bodied, light to medium carbonation, good balance, slightly dry finish.

Nicely done in a style I am growing to like.

Pale and hazy in color. The beer has a nice nose of orange and coriander. A fantastic drink by the pool or outside. Cigar City did fantastic job with this beer.

Pours cloudy, gold, with 1/4 inch head. Taste is coriander, lemon, and orange--slight hay at the end. Slightly above average witbier. One I am glad I tried, but will most likely not pick up again.

The beer has a nice pale gold look to it. The beer is a bit cloudy but not as other witbiers. The overall look is fairly pleasing to look at.

The smell is pretty good. The smell has what you would expect such as citrus notes from the hops and a nice orange peel to it. However, the vanilla and coriander create a nice sweet cream like smell that is unbeatable.

The taste is absolutely fantastic. In addition to the citrus notes and subtle orange peel, the beer taste has a wonderful vanilla note that is strong enough to be noticed but doesn't overwhelm the palate. Rather, the vanilla and the light coriander notes create a subtly sweet and creamy taste that mixes well with the citrus notes.

The feel is very good and extremely unique for the style. While it's a little heavier than you would expect, it's still light bodied and has a nice biting feel from the carbonation. The real selling point is how silky it feels despite the carbonation. It actually feels a little bit like milk.

Overall, a very unique and interesting witbier. The taste of this witbier is fantastic and unique. My only qualm is that it's difficult to get outside of Florida during the summer season when the style would probably shine. If you see this one, get it, you won't regret that decision.

Pour - Light golden with a white head.

Smell - Yeast, crackers, sweet grass.

Taste - Sweet vanilla, yeast, bread (toast) and some earthy grass.

Feel - Lovely, light carbonation with a thick body for the style (medium body overall) creates a unique smoothness

Overall - Not a typical "Belgian Style" but a very nice twist.

Poured into a Spiegelau American Wheat glass. Canned 10/02/15. I must have done something right in a former life because I can't believe I live so close to a brewery that has some of the best brews in America. This one is right up there with the Hotter than Helles and Jai Lai IPA as top examples of their styles. The taste, color, and feel are excellent, the hint of orange mixed with coriander is a cool Florida twist on this classic style.

I expect everything from Cigar City to be at the very top. Cracker just seemed to me another quality Wit. Easy drinking, fun & yeasty, low carbonation. Just not a highlight in the genre.

Worth a taste.

Hazy yellow, light head that left pretty quick. Great bready smell that carries through in taste with some citrus and spice. On the lighter side with good carbonation. Good Beer, had to bring some home.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a tulip.
A- Unfiltered bready, lightly toasted yellow
S- Definite coriander and wheat with a hint of citrus
T- Same as the smell but with a slight tartness that I was not expecting.
M- On the lighter side but consistent with the style. Medium Carb.
D- I would definitely by this again if it was in my distro and Belgian Wits are not my favorite style. I enjoyed this.

The beer offers wheaty flavors, lively carbonation, not much of the coriander and orange peel as expect in for the style. The finish is water and the beer ends up slightly bland.

Poured into a tasting glass at the Emerald Coast Beer Fest, Pensacola, FL.

A: A hazy golden with an off-white half finger head that didn't linger. Light lacing.

S: Coriander, wheat and some citrus elements.

T: A nice surprise. It all comes together with coriander at the forefront, a hit of Belgian yeast and a wheat, orange peel combo. A bit of vanilla, too.

M: Low to medium with light to medium carbonation.

O: I would've liked more carbonation, but the overall drinkability, especially for summer, is awesome. Well done, CCB.

hazy golden straw, thin white head that actually hangs around. nose; yeast funk, and not much else that i can discern. taste; immediately light lemon-lime tart, followed with sourdough, fresh tangerine, and coriander spiciness. lemon hangs around on the aftertaste. nice carbonation and mouthfeel. very odd nose, but everything else is nice and brightly saison-y with little to no farmhouse funk buildup after a few. for a style that is typically underwhelming to me, this one is stays drinkable and engaging with its light citrus high notes.
