12oz can (dated June 18, 2013) poured into a Dogfish Head signature glass.

A - Pours a well hazed, extremely pale straw golden golor with two full fingers of fluffy white head that shows excellent staying power. Webs of lacing left on the glass extensively as the head slowly falls to the surface. Very nice.

S - Wheat up front with nice, spicy coriander, citrus, cloves. Very yeasty too. Pretty standard witbier aromas...done well.

T - Yeasty, spicy with cloves and coriander. Lots of wheat flavor, lemony, touch of tartness, mid level hop bitterness. Quite dry.

M - Light body, very high carbonation that foams up a bit in the mouth, bolstering the body of the beer a bit. Dry, well attenuated beer. Good balance between the wheat, spices and hops.

O - Good witbier and very enjoyable. Crisp and refreshing as the style should be. Carbonation should be high in the style, but this perhaps pushes the upper edge...very gassy and foamy beer. Otherwise well done. Would definitely have a few of these in a session without any problem.

Can poured into a pint glass, this Cracker shows a hazed golden with a thin nearly white cap of foam. Light retention surrenders to a surface cap and leave light lace. Offers a steady boil of carbonation.

Nose of coriander and a light yeast presence, along with a tangy wheat note and a background of orange fruit. Warming brings out a firmer yeast presence.

Flavor follows with citrus a bit more notable up front, an effervescent coriander and wheat in the middle and a muddled lemony orange finish. Moderate feel and finish yields a more spicy than fruity delivery. Interestingly, I had this on tap a few days ago and it had a fuller more fruity/less spicy feel and aroma, along with better head retention. Not sure which I would prefer again. Alas it's a bit clear for the style yet offers plenty of reason to linger including light banana notes. Drinks easily and is well balanced yet not stellar with regard to nuance, but a good quaff nonetheless.

Note: Canned on 10/24/13 and 'Drink Fresh' emblazoned on the can. Drink fresh indeed, just a couple weeks old.

Can courtesy of a good friend from the Tampa area.

Pours a hazy gold with a two-finger white head. Aroma of citrus and wheat.

Really crisp wheat flavor enforced by lime and orange notes. A touch of funkiness keeps things interesting and from it tasting like most other witbiers. Not that *that* would be a bad thing; I think a well-made witbier is nothing to snark at these days. Slight tang and mineral note in the finish. The orange peel and bread notes from the wheat really work seamlessly together, though.

Carbonation is spot on. Coupled with the overall cleanliness and full but refreshing aspects of this witbier, the mouthfeel is flawless. So smooth and tantalizing. Perfect for hot weather or an everyday sipper. Delicious. CCB shows they can make not only some super-bad ass high gravity stuff, but the softer and easy-drinking selections as well.

Picked this up on a recent trip to Florida. Tasted 29 October 2013.

Pours golden, 100% clear. One finger of almost-white head that fizzes and fades, leaving little lacing. Disappearing fizzy head like a sour. Nice moderate stream of bubbles rising up.

Smell is nice. Clean, a bit full and sweet, with a potent light spice presence. A little rounded for a wit, a little heavier and fuller than I'd expect, and not as crisp or refreshing. But nice.

Taste is more crisp than the smell, less grainy-sweet, with a touch of bitter and spice in the back. It's a little more like a wit, but a little less depth.

Feel is a little on the flat side. That carbonation is fizzy, which helps a bit. It's buoyant, too, more than I'd like it to be. Not bad, not great.

It's an okay wit. It's like Florida, a little warmer and wetter than I'd like it to be. Could be more refreshing in a number of ways, and any of those would improve it.
