huge thanks to frank for sending me up the barrage of ccb growlers, loving to get to try these. poured into a pint glass.

Very interesting beer here, nice and smooth look to it with a small cap of a head of top that seems t hang around just long enough to really make a good impression on you. aroma is a mix of light grains, chocolate, smooth vanilla and sugar and a nice blend of light earthy tones. soo light and clean it barely stays on the pallet for more then a few seconds before dropping back off.

overall an outstanding session beer that is truly unique. glad i got a chance to try this.

Firkin Friday at CCB brings an unusual conception today... White Chocolate Cream Ale? It sounds good if you focus on 'chocolate' and 'cream', but anyone who drinks Cream Ales knows that they are very similar to lagers, and decidedly un-creamy in the broad spectrum of beer potential.

A - The pour is a ruddy, murky gold with a few large soapy bubbles. No lace or head. Due to the cask, I will grant it a bit of leeway.

S - The nose is white chocolate, all the way. Not hugely pungent, but leading the way in a reserved manner. Underlying is some basic pale grain, some lemon-herbal hoppiness, and I think some grains of paradise.

T - The flavor is in line with the nose, just less sublime; enjoyable nonetheless. The chocolate is now slightly below the grainy notes, and lemon-y herbal aspect is much more pronounced. All in all, it is still on the milder side of flavorful.

M - Lighter bodied, but quite silky; the beer is more lively than the appearance suggests.

O - I wish they would've named it Jason Williams Cream Ale; they could've littered the tap-handle with jailhouse-looking tattoos, and offered a disclaimer that it was not named after the manslaughterer of limo drivers who spells his name with a 'Y'.

Firkin Friday at CCB. Interesting...White Chocolate Cream Ale. Sittin with kitrillionaire, drinking it from a pint glass.

A: Hazy pale yellow. Some foamy head appears, but quickly fades to nothing, no lace or retention here due to the cask.

A: Really nice white chocolate up front followed by corn, pale malt, and maybe some slight grass. But there is also a lemony scent silmiler to that of grain of paradise.

T: The chocolate takes a back seat in the flavor department. You still get it but not in the doses prensent in the nose. More corn, lemon, and light malt notes. It finishes slightly dry, with no hint of any alcohol.

M: Light body, and a cask like feel. Nothing special.

O: Really interesting take on the style. I don't particularly care for cream ales, but this one was palatable. Glad I got to try. Skal.
