A - pours with one finger of light tan foam on a clear, amber colored body. Had settles quickly and leaves dense lace.
S - fruity malt and some caramel.
T - toffee and toasted malt up front. Some spice pepper notes in the middle. Some clove and musty hop flavor in the finish.
M - medium thick body, moderate carbonation and a relatively dry finish.
D - nicely done, a bit hopper than most, but with a nice malt profile.A

On tap at Green Room in Jacksonville.
A: murky crimson colored, 1.5 finger head with nice lace.
S: Earthy and citrus
T: I was getting a lot of apricot for the fruit side. Belgian yeast and more earthy notes.
M: Moderate carbonation and medium bodied.
Overall: I liked this one a lot. I felt it was a fairly unique Belgian beer and I will definitly be getting this one again if I have a chance.

On tap at ccb. An amber using a Belgian yeast strain
A: cloudy pale orange color. A big two finger head appeared and left some nice lace.
A: Notes of citrus and Belgian yeast. Pretty complex nose consisting of orange, a little guava, and that traditional Belgian yeast aroma.
T: Really interesting brew. Almost a cross between an ipa, an amber, and a Belgian Saison. I get notes of citrusy hops, nice caramel malt, and Belgian yeast. Finishes dry with just a whisp of alcohol heat.
M: Medium body, perfect level of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed this one. Ccb has been bit or miss with some of their pilot series lately, bu this one they knocked out of the park. Very original and extremely quaffable. Great job.

Big Dummy pours an amber-orange hue, and is topped with a nice cap of off-white froth. The nose reminds me a bit of Palm, which is to say that it is akin to a straightforward Belgian Amber (a style which does not exist on BA, but is closest approximated by Biere De Garde.) The basic character of the brew is expressed as soft notes of orchard fruits - especially tart peaches and red apples, caramelized malt, some earthy hop and yeast nuances, and a slight sweet-sour note on the finish. The feel is just shy of medium-bodied, and has a nice creamy and toothy texture. Very nice brew, and a good addition to the CCB lineup as it has a similar character to many of the Fruit/Sour/Saison beers that they put out, but it is a mellow and easily sessionable brew, whereas that isn't the case so much with, say, Guava Grove or SeaBass.
