This festive lager is our tribute to Duke Wilhelm IV's marriage hundreds of years ago, which inspired the production of the first Oktoberfest. Malty up front with notes of sweet toasted bread and a light floral bitterness. Balanced, traditional and incredibly drinkable.

I'm not a fan of pumpkin beer. Obviously it tastes like pumpkin and has an amber glow. Whoopdy do. Blah.

Pours clear, copper in color with one inch head. Taste is wheat bread and honey. Medium light bodied, medium low carbonation and sweet. Makes for an excellent, clean lager. Good domestic example of the style.

Another great offering from the west coast of F-L-A...
I really liked the dark orange, almost burnt caramel colored beer with thin foam and no lacing. The smell was muted for a marzen - bready, yeasty - but still enjoyable, with a mouthfeel that was well carbonated and astringent all over in your mouth. The taste was quite possibly the most unique marzen I've had to date - in one word I would describe it as, spicy. Not burn-your-mouth spicy, but definitely tingly on the tongue. A very unique twist on the style and I would offer this up at a party with like minded craft beer drinkers to see their reaction...

Poured from 12oz can into glass. Canning date is stamped on can bottom as '08/13/18'.
Very slightly cloudy, medium amber colored body. Pours out a bubbly one finger of head, which goes away and leaves a few bubbles in the ring. No lacing.
Aroma of toasty malts and floral hops.
Taste is overall tending toward cardboard like, with toasted malts and floral hops.
Medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
This is below average for a fest Marzen, with an unappealing slightly sour flavor, that has some cardboard aspects, and does not express as a smooth, balanced all-day fest beer.

Poured from a can into a glass.
Great color. Dark orange. Nearly headless. Great taste with a little more emphasis on floral hops than bready maltiness.

I thought this beer was a nice balance between a lager and a hoppy ale. Nice copper color with a little lingering head and spotty lingering lacing. Smells of fruity and floral hops, along with some caramel. Tastes of floral hops, some nice fruit - orange, mango, papaya, tangerine - with vanilla, grain, malt and caramel. A touch of sweetness which is stronger than the bitterness, but not too much at all and this beer was never cloying. Smooth thin mouthfeel with good carbonation. Very sessionable - I would definitely enjoy many of these on a cool fall day.

CANNED 08/07/18
Clear medium-dark amber with 1-2 finger light beige head with dots of lacing.
Light caramel and bread crust with softer herbal/floral hop note
Flavor is solid with clean Pilsner malt cracker notes layered with bread crust and light caramel note. Finished with light floral noble hop flavor and touch of
minerality, which is okay but I’m not a big fan of.
Feel is pretty light bodied with even
Moderate carbonation and crisp finish.
Excellent clean and highly drinkable version of the style. A little more on the aroma and it would be a top tier option.

12 oz can, with a canning date of August 2018, at the Fall 2018 ASMF.
Pours with a clear copper colored body topped by a creamy off-white head.
Medium body and carbonation.
Toffee and earthy hops in the nose.
More complex, fairly well balanced flavor. True to style of leaning towards bold.
