Thanks to BColton1 for breaking this out. Pours a dull orange hue with a loose, off-white head that fizzes and quickly dissipates. Nose is slightly medicinal and expresses tangerine notes. Taste consistent with nose - begins with sweet citrus (tangerines) and finishes with tart grapefruit. The medicinal character in the nose creates a nice transition between the sweet and sour. Mouthfeel is light-medium and mildly acidic with a lively carbonation. Overall, a pretty interesting beer, but not something I could drink a lot of in a sitting. A 4oz. pour was quite sufficient.

At CCB on Hunahpu Eve. Pours pinkish orange with one finger head. Smells like grapefruit juice and sugar with some yeast funk. Taste is sweet with sligght tartness. Grapefruit, mango, funky yeast finish. Light mouthfeel with low to medium carbonation. Very nice and very flavorful saison.

WARNING!

This bottle Absolutely Needs to be Very, Very Cold before opening!
&
serve in a frozen glass
&
stand by with enough glasses/containers to pour entire contents plus mucho foam.

I did warn you!

Think Mentos + Diet Coke (CO2 nucleation)

After clean-up, & the foam settles a bit, here's what ya got >>>

Variable head (depending on how long it settles). More foamy than creamy.

Big spicy, citrus-pith, earthy, creamy/grainy nose. Belgian yeast, grapefruit-zest, & ginger.

On the palate > Big, full, round, & long. Spicy citrus & citrus-pith, ginger, & anise.
Hint of lactic sour along with creamy/grainy/fruity, citrus with a touch of sweet-sour/lemon-drop.
Not much heat, but does show it's 9% ABV.

This complex of flavors play out on a long finish & aftertaste with each rising & falling as they play out rather impressively.

89 Points

A very interesting, complex, intense brew, if you're willing to deal with the mess.
(note: I graded this brew purely on its quality, not the mess-factor)
