A - Pours orange with lively foam. Visible carbonation. No lacing of note. Cloudy appearance.
S - Scents of lemongrass, peppery spice, and a slight yeasty scent. Reminded me of lemon\pepper marinade.
T - Just an awesome flavor of fresh lemon citrus, peppery spice, and a tartness with a dash of grain. As a lover of citrus flavors, this was a homerun.
M - Smooth, well blended, and a spicy bite at the end to contrast with puckering tartness.
O - Love both breweries, and was not disappointed. My friend picked up the cedar aged variant. Curious if it is as good.

From tasting notes.Appearance: Smell: Sour and over ripe fruit. Taste: Starts with a touch of tart, light fruit, peach, lemon, green apple, with sweetness in the background and a pleasant hop accent. Mouthfeel: The carbonation is very fine and soft with a medium light body.

Bottle pour at the DTLA bottle share held at Beer Belly in Los Angeles, CA.
Thanks to Earlycsquid for sharing this one.
Bottled 12/2011.
Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus zest, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with lemon and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that smells and tastes fairly old after almost 2 years in the bottle.
