Dad picked this one up for me while in FL last winter. Cheers pops!
From a 750 into a CCB tulip.
APPEARANCE: Clear brown pour yields a one finger, medium looking, creamy, light tan head with great retention. Eventually fades down to a slight wisp and ring. Bistre brown in color with medium levels of carbonation evident. Ring remains but leaves no real lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Caramel, dark malts, dark fruity esters, raisins and dates perhaps, and a light funky note. Oddly unexpected, but it works in context.
TASTE: Dark malts, caramel, raisins and dates up front. Sweet for sure, with more dark malts and a touch of roasted grain at the swallow. Medium aftertaste of sweet caramel, sweet dark fruits, spicy alcohol and a light touch of bitterness as balance lingers. Still, this is quite sweet with a good backbone of booze.
PALATE: Medium-full body with medium levels of carbonation. Creamy enough on the palate, goes down fine and finishes slightly sticky. A bit of a burn at the swallow. Full, but needs to be a touch creamier for top marks.
OVERALL: This is a traditional Baltic porter, with lots of sweetness and spicy lager qualities that work really well. A well done beer in a style I can certainly appreciate. Better lacing and a more impressive aftertaste would help take this up a notch, but as it is, this is one well worth checking out. Thanks again dad. Recommended.

750ml shared with Kasey enjoyed from a nonic chilled..
The color is practically black with translucent clarity and dark cherry accent with crema type head with light creamy brown appearance and thick lace. The smell is chocolate malt with moderately sweet odor and mild raisin and gentle woody note with fruity esters from the yeast and mild caramel accent. The feel is chewy and lightly creamy with moderate carbonation and light bitterness with mild alcohol and mostly dry feel.
The flavor is nice and toasty with some mild pine tinges and a light caramel smooth malt flavor and hints of dark chocolate with a subtle raisiny yeast and mild spice from the hops with a flavor of alcohol in the finish which adds warmth and mild hint of dark coffee in the finish with a dark brown sugar taste in the residual taste. Overall I was overjoyed with this, thanks Adam for sharing such a good beer and bringing it from FL for me.
