Large format bottle into two dfh glasses
A rose gold, 2 finger high head, beautiful lacing, head dissipates fast, crystal clea
S heavy pine, sap, little spicy, grapefruit, light oak/maple
T super bitter! Big bold piney, citrus and sappy beginning and middle, the ending has a sharp lemon and grapefruit and resin. The after tastes stays for a while and has a drying pine sap and maple wood flavor.
M sharp, prickly, a little harsh
O not a bad beer, but nothing I would drink regularly. A little too much like a pine tree for me. I have not had a cigar city I did not like and they make excellent beers. If you get a chance try this one.

Despite being fresh a multitude of floaters courses through a coppery cloudy body. The head was a bit dull but had a stiff bubbly build.
The nos was filled with pithy grapefruit, citrus tangerines, maple syrup, lemon sweetness, and a stable caramel malt.
The flavor is strong on maple with a touch of vanilla, which adds a creaminess. There's a strong citrus finish that reminded me of Orange rinds, with an oiliness.
The feel is thick but the orangey oily taste translates to feel. Otherwise the astringency is low and it's fairly easy to drink.
This has very little overriding IPA qualities but it's so different and interesting that one can easily overlook it and enjoy.

Big thanks to my cousin down in Tampa for sending this one up to me along with endless other CCB brews. Baseball bats and orange peel eh?
A- Poured from the 12oz can to a deep tulip glass with a hazy, floatie chunk filled golden-orange body. An off-white cap forms to about a finger with a creamy texture. Some pillows remain in the center and a medium ring deposits lacing in the form of spots and sheets.
S- Planks of wood come to mind instantly as I pour this beer, I guess those Sluggers weren't put to waste. Hops and orange peel provide a bright aromatic base to this one with stone fruit, citrus zest, pine and floral notes. A slight bit of malts.
T- Once again planks of earthy, woody baseball bat land on the palate with bright orange zest and hops. The orange peel picks up here and the aftertaste actually feels close to OJ. Hops of citrus, fruity, floral and resin character.
MF- Light-medium bodied with a crisp, silky texture. Carbonation hits the taste buds at a moderate level and is smooth. Light bitterness and zesty finish.
Reading the description sounds like one of the stranger things in beer production (aging on donated baseball bats) but it works. The earthy maple provides a dimension to bright citrus peel and hops.
