75 cl bottle poured into a tasting glass
Dark raisiny cloudy amber in color, very small white head, little lacing.
Strong congnac nose, aged dark pitted fruit, caramel/toffee,
Taste follows the nose with plenty of big sweet malty goodness. Lots of raisin, fig, cognac , dates , vanila ... and brown sugar,
While not overly alcoholic, its very warming, very chewy/malty. This is great !
Body and mouthfeel are fairly full.
Great stuff, not too hot, but certainly one to sip slowly.

This poured out as a brownish amber color with a thin white head on top. The smell of the beer is loaded with sweet caramel brandy soaked malts. The taste of the beer is rich, lots of caramel, dark fruits and oak in this thing. The feel is full bodied, it's rich and decedent. Overall it's quite the Barleywine.
