Half finger head on a slightly hazy golden body with the slightest amber hue. Fruity and herbal hop aroma. A little light overall. Flavor is excellent with earthy and herbal hops up front staying very mellow with semisweet citrus best noted in the finish. Very smooth. Medium body and light carbonation. The flavor is well balanced and this one is highly drinkable.

Review from notes taken at Cigar City Brewing taproom on 7/15/12. Poured on draft into a Cigar City shaker pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a hazy medium golden-brown with a 3 finger foamy off-white head. Excellent head retention and lacing.
Smell: Lemon zest, pale malt and grapefruit.
Taste: Honey and bitter grassy hops throughout. Bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a low amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Good drinkability. You could have a few without any trouble.
Overall: Very good beer overall. A well-balanced American pale ale. This one is definitely worth a try.

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at CCB tasting room. Poured into a pint glass.
A: This one pours a hazy light amber with a small head white. Some visible carbonation, but not a whole lot.
S: Biscuit & pilsner malts, with a bit of pine and grassy hops. Sure doesn't smell particularly hoppy. This almost smells more like a lager...although it's clearly labeled ale.
T: Mild citrus hops with bready malt. This beer is somewhat bitter.
M: A little thin on the mouthfeel, but not a deal-breaker. Good amount of carbonation.
O: Honestly, this didn't really do it for me. Not nearly as hoppy as promised, and what was there didn't seem to add a lot to the flavor profile. It wasn't awful or anything, but I likely won't be drinking another one. One of the few misses lately from CCB in my opinion.
