Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at CCB tasting room while waiting for El Catador Club sign-ups. Served in a pint glass.
A: Deep copper in color, moderately hazy, with a one-finger white head and modest visible carbonation.
S: Oaky sweet vanilla, pineapples, mangoes, bananas and oranges with floral and pine hops. Just a bit of cracker malts hanging around in the background.
T: Vanilla oak with accompanying drying tannins, grapefruit, tropical fruits mirror the nose, citrus pith bitterness, woody, some malt sweetness. Sweet with a pretty dry finish thanks to the tannins.
M: Medium body, carbonation sensation on the low side, and well-hidden alcohol presence.
O: This is quite good. A fruity IPA without any artificial or cloying qualities. Definitely one to have when you're looking for a change of pace.
