Reviewed from notes. Had from a firkin at the CCB tasting room. Poured into a pint glass.
A: Very hazy, dark amber with no visible carbonation and a small white head.
S: The galaxy dry-hop treatment seems to have tamed the cedar aroma - still present to be sure, but not as overbearing as the base Humidor brew. It seems overall more sweet, with citrus (grapefruit) and some tropical fruit.
T: Follows the nose nicely, with the grapefruit hop flavors forward. The cedar flavors are here also, and biscuit-y malts.
M: Creamier, flatter texture than expected, likely due to the firkin as serving vessel (which should be naturally carbonated). Low carbonation. The hang is piney bitter and the standard cedar dryness of the Humidor series.
O: This is really good. Not only recommended in general, but for anyone who thought the Humidor Jai Alai was overwhelmed with the cedar flavors. Excellent.
