First had: on tap at Cigar City, Tampa, FL

Nice simple pale ale here. Golden-yellow pour, hazy, somewhat effervescent, capped off with a finger or so of foamy white head that retained well and laced the glass. Nice aroma of fresh citrusy hops, biscuity malt undertones. Basically the same in the taste, citrus and pine hops, nice balance of pale biscuity malts. Light-medium body, easily drinkable. Nothing new and amazing, just a solid pale ale overall.

From 08/18/13 notes. Had this on tap at a restaurant in the Tampa International Airport. Poured into a 16 oz. pint glass.

a - Pours a hazy golden yellow-orange color with one inch of bright white head and low carbonation evident.

s - Smells of citrus hops, pale malts, wheat, grains, bread, and dough. Nice nose, the citrus hops up front are pretty good.

t - Tastes of citrus hops, grapefruit, pale malts, fruity malts, bready malts, and some wheat. Nice taste, better than the nose with more fruit to it.

m - Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink.

o - Overall a pretty solid APA. Some nice citrus hops throughout drinking and nice fruit in the taste. Easy to drink, would have it again.

32 oz. poured into a pint glass.

Appearance - Hazy orange body. Pours with a small white head. Faint surface wisps.

Smell - Citrus and tropical fruit hops. And then a bucket of diacetyl. Ugh.

Taste - Zesty orange. Grainy. Interesting hop flavor. Like a spicy orange hop finish. Tastes really good and then diacetyl.

Mouthfeel - Medium light. Low carbonation.

Overall - Could have been an interesting pale ale. Just a diacetyl bomb.

Pint on Tap at Cigar City Tampa FL for 5$

Appearance - Slightly hazy yellow colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some faint lacing. The head lasted for around 3 minutes.

Smell - Hops, malts, caramel, lemons/grapefruit

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste caramel and hops. There is also some grapefruit and lemon (both juice and zest) and a bit of a graininess. It ends with a light bittersweet aftertaste.

Overall – A very drinkable APA that has a nice balance of flavours. It's actually quite refreshing and has a decent amount of hop bitterness. I can see this working as a good gateway beer to get people into hoppy brews.

Had this on tap at the brewpub. From notes.

A - Light golden pour. Bright with decnent carbonation. Spotty lace and a film of retention.

S - Very peppery. A little odd. Lot's of citrus too.

T - Definite pepper note there. Citrus as well. Lot's more dank hop later as it opens up.

M - Good carbonation, medium body, citrussy and litghly bitter finish.

O/D - Peppery note was a tad offputting. OK pale ale though. Being held back by that pepper though.

Clear pale light yellow in color. Served with a modest bubbly white head. Aroma is very light some pale malts, some citrus and little else. Taste is a very generic pale. Light caramel malts , some citrus and a little pine. Very simplistic. Medium body. Strong bitterness is not balanced. Appropriate carbonation.
