Aggressively poured into a pint glass. Hazy though with light getting through. Big, fluffy, off-white head. Great lace though retention is less than stellar.
Smell is heavily biased to grapefruit hop presence and not much else detected.
Taste is citrusy hops, light malt and bread and yeast notes. Better balance than the nose but this is still a somewhat hoppy brew.
Fairly smooth, medium bodied, lighter effervescence than expected. Warming with a drying finish. A pretty good beer after the hop-heavy nose.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from fresh growler into CCB pint glass.

A: Pours a hazy, light apricot with a one-half finger white head. Good amount of visible carbonation with nice lacing.

S: Bready malt (wheat/rye), citrus and resin hops, and a bit of pine.

T: Follows the nose. Fruity hop sweetness runs into rye bread chewy malts.

M: Medium body, tingly mouthfeel from carbonation & hops, a fairly dry finish, and no alcohol presence to speak of.

O: Good flavors here, but I'm not sure they mesh to me. Not bad, but my initial impression is just it may not be my preference. I'll try it again though, since I had it directly after Citrus Wizard, whose flavors may overwhelm almost any other beer following it.

Convincingly Intention-Ale pours a hazy golden color with a solid head. The aroma has a very strong rye kick backed up with some hops. The taste follows through more with the hops, which have a strong herbal and citrus character that stands up very well against the huge rye character. Big grapefruit peel on the finish. The mouthfeel is fairly light and gently carbonated. For such an intense beer, this is highly drinkable, and honestly refreshing. One of the bigger hits I've had from CCB recently, this is a great rye IPA.
