Poured from a can to a tulip glass with a "canned on" date of 1-27-2014.
This is a really solid pale ale. It is not overly aromatic, but does have a subtle hop aroma. The beer has a great flavor with a mild to moderate level of bitterness, and a balance level of malt sweetness. The mouthfeel is pleasant, with a good level of carbonation. The beer also has a nice appearance that is slightly cloudy with good color and head level.

In the nose there is some nice smelling hops there. I can smell grapefruit and lime. The aroma is somewhat lean.
Pours nicely from the can. The color is orange amber with a tall white head, streaming carbo bubbles makes it complete.
The taste is okay and nothing really sticks out. The hops are lean and light and subtly dank. Some malts come through so even as light as the flavor is, it is balanced.
On the palate it's very harsh tasting. Course and grainy with a bitter finish. Not good.
Another okay beer from cigar city. Harshness aside, I'd drink more.
