First beer during Sunday Eveing session at World of Beer UCF 17 Aug 14. This beaut little beer was poured from the tap into a broad lager glass, it was a hazy golden colour with a small lacey head that disappeared half way through the drink.
The nose of this beer was all tropical and aromatic. This was backed up on first taste as lemongrass and melon flowed over my taste buds. The mouthful was crisp with a good level of carbonation. As the beer warmed in the glass the hops started to come through on the back pallete.
I really enjoyed this beer after an emotional round of golf. It is great to be back in Orlando.

A - Pours a glowing hazed straw/pineapple yellow with a finger of dense white head. Ok retention, a bit weak on the lacing.
S - Grassy, almost skunky-straw like, pilsner type nose almost. Lemon zest and a bit of malt sweetness. (The can is 2 mo's old :/)
T - Dry and skunky kind of straw grassy hop profile. Definitely copious amounts of lemon, clean and bitter, finishes clean with a mild lingering dryness. A tad sweet only for a split second and only at the finish.
M - Lighter bodied, well carbonated, clean, very drinkable.

Saw a lineup of Cigar City cans in the cooler at TW a guy grabbed a sixes of Invasion and a light bulb went of, I haven't even tried this one yet! As CC never disappoints I secured a sixer myself and headed towards the door. Now back at the ranch, let's give it a whirl. Popping the top on the can I get a nice piney-citrus hop waft. Pouring into a chalice I get a translucent orange with a multi-sized bubble off-white head that stands well. On the taste this brew is a well balanced PA that hits up front with some bitterness, fades to sweet maltiness then finishes with a dry and bitter aftertaste. Very refreshing and a wide range of flavors for a PA, complex if I may say so. This is yet another keeper from CC

Pours a golden orange color with a filmy, soapy head that leaves a sheet of lacing. The aroma is fruity and tropical with mango and citrus smells. Malt comes out a bit more as it warms.
In the taste, nice and citrusy, definitely some mango, but what sticks out to me is the firm malt flavor, coming off a bit nutty in the background with the balancing bitterness. Hop oils are in full force, coating the palate with semi-tropical bliss.
Medium bodied brew with a medium carbonation. Leaves a bittersweet taste behind of malt and hops that furthers the character of this ale.
Overall, this is a very good pale ale from Cigar City using a fair amount of malt to back the hops. A well balanced offering.
