At the CCB source on Hunahpu Eve. CCB snifter. Pours clear copper with one finger head. Aroma is huge caramel grapefruit. Very sweet smelling. Very earthy hop flavor with some lingering passion fruit flavor. Huge huge raw hop flavor here, but not supremely bitter. Medium and slick mouthfeel with low to medium carbonation. Very good.

Nice beer with a great amber color. You can taste the hops and the bitterness, lingers in the back if the pallet. Overall very smooth. Overall great beer. I wish I could find it in bottles, seems to be only available on tap. Would totally stock up on it.

Was served this beer in a tulip at Redlight Redlight in Orlando.

Appearance: clear copper color, consistent with the style. A little on the lighter side if anything.

Smell: amazing citrusy notes with strong grapefruit overtones over a solid pine backbone.

Taste: big grapefruit hop character up front, consistent, with a medium bodied maltiness to balance the hop profile. Similarly hopped to the pliney family, though not as thoroughly malted. Finish is smooth and clean.

Mouthfeel: this is probably the biggest shortcoming of this beer. It feels a bit thin in your mouth. Though I feel this is maybe getting a little picky.

Overall: this is the best beer I've had in the region (southeastern USA). They really have a polished product here. My first impression is that it would rank up there with my favorite double IPAs. I may check back in as I try it again in the future.

On tap at Cigar City Tampa FL for 5$

Appearance - Clear light copper colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some great lacing. The head lasted for around 5 minutes.

Smell - Hops, malts, caramel, apricots

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste caramel, malts and hops. There is also some grapefruit mixed with some pineapple/apricots. It ends with a fruity sweet aftertaste with a medium amount of hop bitterness.

Overall – One of the better beers I had during my visits to Cigar City. Reminded me a bit of a DFH 90min. It had a nice array of flavours and was very drinkable.

Serviceable DIPA enjoyed at the CC Tasting Room. Decent drinkability. A surprisingly small amount of hop aroma, a little head on medium yellow body. Some orange taste. Big IBU not too palate erasing. Suitable carbonation and medium mouthfeel with a long finish. More like an IPA and a half rather than a double.

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at the newly-expanded CCB tasting room. Served in a CCB snifter.

A: Nice deep gold, clear, with a one-finger white head and moderate visible carbonation.

S: Pine, orange/citrus, spicy, and tropical fruit hops. A little bready malt in the background.

T: Follows the nose well. Orange and grapefruit citrus hops, nice pine bitterness, and some sweet malts (but not caramel).

M: Medium body, tingly bitter mouthfeel, nice amount of carbonation sensation. I don't know what the ABV here is, but the alcohol is only mildly noticeable.

O: Quite tasty, and one of the only CCB DIPAs I can remember having. I'll be having this again if it's still there at my next trip.
