Hunahpu Day pour #8. Pours slightly cloudy gold with small white head. Citrus, mango and grapefruit aroma. Very nice. Very vegetal hop flavor. Could swear I am chewing on hop pellets with the flavor being pure grassy earthy hops. Goodness! Medium to high bitterness, but just overwhelming hop flavor and very little malt to speak of. Grassy to the Nth degree. Pretty good, and I really like how this pushes the limit.

NOTE: This is CCB's Tony Jannus Pale Ale dry-hopped with Galaxy hops.
Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at CCB tasting room. Poured into a pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy, muddy golden color with a one-finger white head and low visible carbonation.
S: Pine, grass and spice hops over some cracker malt. A bit of citrus fruitiness.
T: Follows the nose, but with significantly more citrus than the aroma would imply. There is a grainy flavor near the end with an almost woody bitterness. Dry hop bitterness at the swallow.
M: Medium to light body, good carbonation sensation. Alcohol is subdued but more noticeable than expected at this ABV.
O: This is a good beer, perhaps a bit of an improvement over the base beer. Nothing I'd particularly seek out again, but I wouldn't refuse another. Have one if you find yourself in the tasting room in the mood for an APA.
