On draft at CCB: murky pale with an orange tint in color. The nose is citrus with some clear orange peel. Quite hoppy, nice mouth feel and delicious orange finish. I was worried that the orange would taste like extract, was pleasantly surprised with this one. Got another pint and very refreshing. I'm guessing they have improved this from last year.

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at CCB tasting room. Served in a pint glass.

A: Clear bright gold with a one-finger white head and medium visible carbonation.

S: Fruity sweet citrus with oak and the oaky vanilla. Underneath are some bready malts and small amount of tropical fruit hops.

T: Follows the nose, although the oak flavors are relatively muted. The aging on citrus elements makes this taste have a flavor profile similar to a citrous-forward IPA but with very low bitterness. Interesting.

M: Medium body, carbonation on the low side for style, and minimal alcohol presence.

O: I don't know quite what to make of this. It's different, quite different. Glad to have tried it once, but I don't believe I'll be having another. My only word of caution to other tasters of this beer - the flavors that I was getting out of the beer completely changed after two intervening sips of an IPA then had on tap. I don't think hoppiness plays well with this beer.
