On-tap at Oblivion in Orlando. Pours a pale slightly hazy whitish yellow color with an off-white head. The aroma is faint wheat with a touch of lemon, grass, and hops. The taste is wheat with some sour citrus and a tart finish. The mouthfeel is light bodied and heavily carbonated. Overall, this is a refreshing light bodied beer that is perfect for the hot Florida summers.

Small glass at The Top in Gainesville. Yellowish pour with fluffy head. Sweet & sour wheat smell with some lemon peel. Taste is sour with more sweet than I am used to for the style (a good thing in my eyes). Light body and easy drinking. Not bad, but also not a huge fan of thi style. This was tolerable thanks to the sweetness and a bit more substance to the flavor.

32oz growler into a matching CCB snifter. The brew pours a clouded light yellow color with a finger of white froth that settles back to thin film across the top. Spotty lace sticks to the glass.

Why does this beer smell like chicken salad? A hint of cooked celery, chicken and starts to get off-putting and almost fishy. This smells like a prank...seriously. Digging deeper, there is some spoiled grain aspect, corn and some pleasant lemony lacto character somewhat like yogurt.

Despite the aroma being pretty strange...well, actually freakish. The taste is quite good with a lemony lactic tartness that gives way to a fresh bread/cracker-like maltiness to the finish. Strong greek yogurt tang to this and mild fruity quality when bigger sips are taken.

This is a light bodied brew with a moderate amount of carbonation. It is terribly funky in a strange way across the nose but the flavor is pleasant and clean. I had no issues consuming 32oz of this in 1 sitting and would do so again if the opportunity presented itself. Just dont ask me to smell it...eh.

This one is a straight down the line Weiss for my palette. Sour notes, slight lemony, longer than usual lasting bubbly head, and a small dose of bitterness. Pale cloudy appearance.

Coming in at 3% this packs a good punchy taste. It may set you back on the first couple of sips---the combo of bitter and sour and weak mid section could make you think you made an error. But, it is quite refreshing, making me ask for another.

I wouldn't think Cigar City would continue invesing in such light beers (ABV wise), but this is a fine specimen--it makes one appreciate what the Germans accomplished. Drink mass quantities of this of you are tired of too much alcohol lingering behind after a session.

Good show Cigar City.

On tap at Cigar City. Served in a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy yellow orange. Small white head with larger bubbles. Settles quickly. White collar remains.

Smell - Grainy with some acidity. Fruity, orange citrus. Simple but decent.

Taste - Grains are very prominent. Moderate tartness. Sour orange tang. Pleasant and simple again.

Mouthfeel - Very easy to drink. The moderated tartness helps. Medium carbonation.

Overall - It's definitely not the most exciting Berliner from these parts, but it's well made. Refreshing.

On tap at the CCB tasting room. Drank it "straight", without the available flavored syrups.

pours a cloudy lemon-white with a thin, loose bonewhite head.

Lots of grain and wheat mixed with citric fruit. it has a slightly cider-like aroma.

Flavor follows the nose as the grainy backbone is accented with tart tangerine, lemon and maybe lime-rind. very enjoyable and surprisingly deep.

excellent mouthfeel, effervescently carbonated, with a sharp and light-medium weght on the palate. clean finish that is refreshing the drink in the Florida climate.

While i prefer the fruited "Florida Weisse" that is increasing in popularity in the state, this is a very fine representation of the classic Berliner. perhaps next time ill try it with the himbeere or waldmeister.

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at CCB tasting room. Served in a snifter glass.

A: Light golden yellow, moderate haze, with good visible carbonation and a small white head.

S: Light lemony wheat, grainy, and moderately tart and funky.

T: Starts with tart flavors, grainy wheat, light citrus - tastes more tart than aroma. Nearer the swallow comes some funk and just a bit of barnyard.

M: Light body, good carbonation sensation, no alcohol presence at all.

O: A quality, well-made base berliner. I'm wondering if this was an attempt to nail down a base recipe for the style that will lead to many fruited ("Florida weisse") varietals. I hope so.

A buddy of mine brought me up a gallon (yes gallon) growler of this from the CCB tasting room. Poured it into New Glarus flute.

Great pale yellow color with a nice short-lasting head. The smell is funky, but in a good way. The overall taste is a tart lemony zest with a great malty, bready aftertaste that lingers. Exactly what I like from Berliners and Goses. Can't get enough of the aftertaste. Great carbonation. Overall, this is exactly what I was hoping it would be and glad to have a full gallon to enjoy throughout the week.
