Thanks to Stogies for this possibly interesting beer.
Pours a nice looking head for a growler, 1.5 finger fluffy fizzy white head fades at a med pace with soapy lacing, very hazy golden honey orange color.
Nose brings some saison aromas, more sweet malts, candied orange peel, light saison spices more wit like spices and plenty if wheat as well, light tropical fruit like essence of guava and tangerine, and a light earthy fruity hop.
Taste starts with tangerine and citrus juice, much more like a wit than saison as plenty of wheat flavors, light spices coriander and clove like, plenty of orange peel citrus and pith bitter rind flavors. Juicy but dry, with a light phenolic flavor as well and little acetylene like almost plastic. Hops kick in quite a bit, a weird herbal oily vegetal hop but grassy at the same time and fair bitterness. Finish is quite bitter with a slightly spicy hop but more of the herbal vegetal slight plastic like hop character lingering, more wit beer spices.
Mouth is med bodied, decent carb.
Overall not a winner at all, pretty bad actually. Not only is this far from being a real saison, it's much more like a wit beer, but also the hops are not very good, and phenols and plastic acetylene flavors are bleh. Very far at the bottom of list for Ccb.

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at CCB tasting room, served in a pint glass.
A: Hazy golden, with 1.5 fingers of white head and moderate visible carbonation.
S: Light citrus, a touch of barnyard funk, biscuit malt, coriander and some background spices.
T: Follows the nose, with addition of earthy, grassy, and flowery hops. Moderately dry on the finish.
M: Medium body for style, good amount of carbonation sensation, alcohol presence quite mild.
O: Tasty and an easy drink, but nothing outstanding for style.

On tap at the brewpub. From notes.
A - Poured dark golden and hazy with good carbonation. One finger white fluffy head. Good lace drapes and a film of retention.
S - Good sweet spice. A little citrus. Some chamomile tea.
T - Light hop, lot's of sweet spice. Orange. Tasty. Very straightforward.
M - Dry finish. Light to medium body. Good carbonation.
O/D - Nice Saison, but not as hop forward as I was expecting. Wanted more but wasn't disapointed. Very uncomplex, but nailed required elements well enough.
