32 oz. growler poured into a taster. Thanks to Adam for sharing this growler.
Appearance - Deep brown, almost black. Small khaki head and a nice collar.
Smell - Bourbon is dominant. Lots of the liquor, but its got oak and vanilla as well. Just a hint of the porter.
Taste - Bourbon everywhere. Lots of booze, vanilla, and oak. Bitter and a little tannic. A little bit of chocolate, but barrel is overwhelming.
Mouthfeel - A little too thin and woody. Otherwise barrel hot, but not necessarily boozy.
Overall - I don't love regular Jose Marti. This is a ton of barrel. Good if that's your thing.
