Grass Fed Red is a house brew available on-tap and in growlers at the brewpub. Pours a bit dark but looks quite tempting. Smell is typical of a red but lacks the blast of hops you find in CCB's other red ale (Tocobaga). Moderate carbonation. Taste is what you'd expect of a quality red ale. When compared to CCB's Tocobaga the Grass Fed Red falls a bit short but still very good overall. If freeforming I'd give it a 3.8...

Had this on tap at the Brewpub in Tampa. Described as an American Red Ale with a Belgian flair. Pours a deep nearly opaque reddish purple brown color with a big two finger creamy, cream-colored head. Zesty citrus aroma, but with lots of earthiness and some sweet and spicy Belgian yeast, and finally a bit of pine. The flavor is initially crisp grassiness, some dark fruits, but as it warms the spicy Belgian yeast comes out more and more. There is a dry finish, yeast lingering on the palate, light to medium bodied, bubbly, and pretty smooth overall. This is a sort of combination between a Red Ale and Belgian Farmhouse Saison of some kind. Pretty unique and crisp. Nice beer.
