Thick and viscous in the pour it set a deep jet black profile with a deep brown frothy head. The lacing was thick and sticky.
The nose was of coffee grounds, chocolate, oats and whipped cream but I was disappointed in a phenolic duct tape aroma.
The flavor starts with chocolate and a lactose-sweetness. It settles midway into a light coffee, caramel malt and whipped cream before finishing strong with roasted coffee.
The feel is dry, thick and viscous in the mouth, smooth and almost velvety.
Other than the phenolic I detected in the nose, you can chalk this up to another top shelf addition from Cigar City.

I thought this was outstanding for what they were going for here
A- Pours 3-finger head with very little retention!!! WTF CCB? Not like you guys. Head is dark coffee in color. Head is sticking to the glass as it slowly dissipates. Very dark/black roasty (will be a theme here)
S- Crazy roasty, so much great stout characteristics going on here. A fantastic base stout. Coffee and roasty booze follow. Charred dark fruits and toffee there as well.
T- So roasty with the malt backbone. Unreal, I need more of this!!! Coffee, chocolate, burnt sugars all in the taste.
M- There is so much carbonation, and it makes total sense that it would detract from the essence of the beer, but the carb is creamy going down. Very well done.
O- As stated down, this is a great stout up there with Zhukov, but totally a different objective. Coffee roasty here. Well done, I love you CCB
