I had this beer at Proof for the Florida Tap Invitational. Great set up and tons of great brews from around the state. Anyway, Common Porter was fantastic. I got a 6oz pour. Nice deep brown color with a tan head that lingered fairly well. Aroma was of caramel and coffee; it made me want to mix it with an iced coffee. Taste was delightful: roasted coffee and malt, deep brown sugar flavor, and a nice hop presence as well. Nice and creamy on the tongue and this porter lingered for a full minute or two. Really great beer! (523 characters)

On tap at Leftovers. Served in a pint glass.

Appearance - Black with translucent edges. Nice khaki lacing. Thin layer on top of the beer.

Smell - Roasted malt. Milk chocolate.

Taste - More of a caramel presence, but still most prominent is the roasted malt and milk chocolate. Bitter quickly. The finish yields a little bit of a bitter caramel malt nuttiness.

Mouthfeel - Thins out quickly. The finish leaves a bit to be desired.

Overall - Nothing exciting here, but it was pretty flavorful. Some funny stuff going on in the back end. (541 characters)
