A true beer destination all on it's own. They are growing, and in a good way. Expanding their production facility, canning, adding more barrel aged beers to their line up, adding new treatments to already great beers. Wow.
We spent 5 out of our 9 nights in the Tampa area at CCB. Each of which held great surprises. The first night we pulled up, we were amazed by the size of the facility. I guess they just bought a good portion of the buildings around them, and expanded the tap room...literally weeks before we arrived. I never would have known had I not asked. The initial room that you walk into (which used to be THE brew pub) is now the "growler bar". They have ten or so taps in the growler bar that you can fill 32 oz. or 128 oz. growlers, and enjoy a pint. Great idea...stops congestion at the other bar, and they sometimes slip different beers onto the growler bar without posting them on the screen in the main pub.

After walking thru the growler room/store front area, the back bar opens up into a long room with a shuffle board table on one side (awesome, love this classic game), and a long 15-20 seat bar with 8 to 10 tables varying in sizes through the area.
It's an impressive bar, really. 40 taps, with a huge 50 inch TV above with an easy to read, update the second tap list. Boom, as soon as something new is put it, it's added to the tap list on the computer, a quick refresh, and it's listed. Name, style, abv, size pour, price. How awesome is that?
Jake was behind the bar the first night, and I could tell he wasn't really a bartender, but we started talking with him, and he was a really nice guy. As it turns out, he does all the treatments for the beer...I find this out as I'm drinking White Oak Jai Alai and it was wonderful, so I made sure I gave him his due praise by going out to my hoopde and grabbing a Dark Horse BA Plead the 5th.
Over the course of the next five nights, we were able to join at least one or two, sometimes more new brews each night, each of which were great beers. I think my least favorite was a raspberry lager, but still enjoyed it more than many beers I had on my journey.
I know CCB hasn't been around long, but the overall quality of the beer they are producing, their brewing facility, their brew pub, and the general feel and atmosphere of this place puts it in the upper echelon of breweries I have visited including Founders, Three Floyds, and Bells. I can only see great things coming to them. If anyone from CCB is reading this review, thank you so much for the great times we shared there, Kelly and I will be back, hopefully soon! And thanks for letting us crash in your parking lot, weee!

Always something special on tap that you don't expect. Always a reason to stop by and see what's new.

Went for Huna Day so I'm a little biased but the taste room selection was great along with the service. The new bar area really helps with the crowd. Everything on tap was great. The combination of flavors they experiment with all work.

Try the Strawberry Jalapeño PB&J Double Cream Ale if you have the chance. Tastes and smells like a Strawberry PB&J Uncrustable with a slight amount of heat in the throat. Sounds weird but works beautifully.

As for Huna Day, AWESOME, nothing else really needs to be said.

Cigar City was really great. Full size bar, excellent food truck out front, tons of CCB and a few other offerings on tap, as well as a separate bar just for growlers/crowlers/quarts. The only minor complaint I had was that the first server I got was relatively gruff and seemed quite pissy, though I'm sure it was just because it was really busy. Not a big deal, and everyone else was totally cool.

This year hunahpu's day event cost 200 for a 6 hour event which I thought was obscene price but as I worked the event as a volunteer as the 2nd shift gate captain and was shocked at the number of people who were will to shell out 200 in cash to get
in fact the 2000 ticket to the event sold out in 30 minutes.
and I did work also after my shift at the exit gate and ever saw so many happy people giving great praise to the event as there were 80 microbrewery's there from north America

Handrolled cigars on premises? Yes please (and they were damn good cigars too! Especially for the price)!

LOTS of beer options. LOTS of solid beers at that. Plenty of beers for sale in cans AND an awesome snifter for purchase. Dare I say, the perfect snifter? Although mine unfortunately broke in transit on way back to New York, which is a severely depressing thought that makes me want to deduct a star out of revenge against the world. But I'll remain strong and remember the Peach American Sour Ale, which is about on par with Westbrook Gose, and all is forgiven. No wait, they served it in that beloved snifter. I hate everything...

Okay, I admit it. I foster way too much feeling towards glassware. Plus the ink peels easy and would've probably all been gone in a month anyway. Yeah. That makes me feel better.

I was saddened by my experience at Cigar City...

After I raved about how well they ran Hunahpu this year, I expected the tasting room to be as good of an experience. Unfortunately, I have never met a more arrogant bartending staff. Front of house service is number one for me, and theirs really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Incredibly spacious, no frills setup. That's important. As much as I love visiting, say, Three Floyds, it really sucks to have to stand in line for a half hour to get a spot at the bar.

The inside is sparse--woody interior, couple tvs, shuffleboard, handful of posters. There's a small to-go bar up front and a much longer and more fully staffed bar at the back, and even though it was 7PM on a Saturday we had no trouble finding a seat, no trouble getting served.

So, to recap, the vibe is plain--maybe even a little vacant or generic--but they exchange exciting ambience for unparalleled usability. That's not a bad trade off at all.

The beers, of course, are excellent. No shock there. But also nothing terribly hard to find. Which is good, because it means that Cigar City does wide releases of most of the beers they make. But also just a wee bit disappointing because it's nice to get to say you've had something new.

Don't got too much else to say. If you're in Tampa, then of course this is a must-visit. I was impressed was how accessible everything was.

The tasting room at Cigar City is wonderful. It's a great place to sample beer (or have a full one) and have fun. Bar tenders could have been more friendly and helpful. If you're not a people person then find another job! The problem is all beers are at same temp. You'd think if anyplace would serve beers at the optimal temperature, it would be a brewery. Oh well.

Extremely disappointed. Was looking forward to this place the most from my trip. The vibe was "OK", and they had a good selection. Loved the fact they had easy to read constantly updated selection with boards showing last time tap lines cleaned. Service was very "meh" with a lot of beer snobby bartenders. Didn't like "Egg" the pub dog walking around on a Friday night with a ton of people clearly stressed out.

CCB is an excellent place to visit. Highly recommended! Probably the best beer tour I've ever been on. Fun, informative, and lots of beer. The taproom has a ton of beers on tap and solid service.

The tasting room at the brewery is pretty awesome. Such a diverse variety of amazing beer. You can buy stuff to go- growlers, cans, merch, etc. This place is without a doubt my favorite Florida brewery. Jai Alai is one of the best IPAs I've had. The other beer styles they offer are stellar. They do have cask beers also!
