From what I understand, this is the production facility and tasting room; to be honest, though, I don't know if actual production is done here or just shipping and logistics. I had lunch at the brewpub about 10 minutes away ( which had brewing equipment that was actually being used while I was there) and this place capped my day. The vibe is interesting, but this place is hopping with culture and it seems like it's always busy. It's sort of an eclectic mix of old world, traditional and modern. There's a bar and seating area I realized was the overflow after passing it to get to the crowded main bar. Merchandise is on display before that point and it includes shirts, bottle openers, glassware, and about ten or so different soaps created in collaboration with a local soap maker, each including one of CCBC's beers. There's a desk against one wall, too, with someone from a local cigar company hand-rolling cigars and selling some from a display case there in the tasting room (it is Cigar City, after all). Being both a beer geek and a cigar geek, I was extremely satisfied. To the beers: there's a huge set of TVs set up for the sole purpose of displaying each and every beer on tap, how it's available (nitro, cask, etc.) and all the vitals (ABV, etc.) as well as prices per pint size (refreshing). It's also kept extremely updated; empty lines are displayed as it happens. I don't know how often it happens, but some of the brewers themselves were pulling pints, and they were extremely busy. There was no "waitstaff," per se, as no food is available, so it's just a couple guys rushing to draw. There are a whole lot of beers available, always 2 on cask and, as I understand it, always in the tasting room some experimentals or one-offs not available anywhere else at any time. Before I forget, 5 oz. samples of anything 9% ABV or above are $2. Sample of anything below 8%? $1.50. To point: this place is awesome. This place made my vacation. I would live in this building if I could.

I stopped here last year right after I landed at TPA. This place was awesome. They had probly 20 beers on tap, about 15 of them were their own and a few of them were from other breweries. They had a huge bar area where you could sit down and get pints or flights of whatever was on tap. There was also a separate area where you could buy beer and fill growlers (great idea). This was one of the first breweries I had ever gone to, but even since then I still think its one of the best and others should take notes. Hope to get back again sometime.

It goes without saying that the beers are amazing! The variety is exceptional and they are always throwing on new kegs as soon as one kicks.

For the most part the bartenders are very good and cool, but there are a few that kind of cater to people they know. I understand taking care of locals/regulars is important but at a place like CCB I would imagine there are a ton of out of towners every day.

There are food trucks hanging out at the brewery quite often that have all been very good. They also added a sandwich shop in the tasting room but I have not had a chance to try it yet.

We take the tour every time we go! You can't beat a tour and a beer for $5, and you get to keep the pint glass! You also get to sample beers that are almost ready to be bottled/kegged which are sometimes their more rare brews.

I highly recommend a trip to CCB and the city of Tampa to everyone! You will not be disappointed.

I went to this location on a trip to Tamp for the holidays with my wife. It was a very nice place just off a main street in a large wear house. the selection of beers at CCB is really surprising, they have things that I have never heard of before at the brewery and I love that when it happens. I tried a bunch of different beers as a sampler then went and did the tour of the brewery.

The tour was $5 a person but included a beer, thats a fair deal in my opinion for sure. The tour was great, it was buy an older guy who knew the brewery pretty well. It wasn't that informative as we didn't really go through the brewing process but he talked a lot about all of the ingredients. All of the things that I wanted to see he took me over to and explained. being a hombrewer I might have been obnoxious to him because I had to keep asking questions but he handled it really well.

we met a really cool couple there who played shuffleboard with us. It seemed like there were a lot of good people there. There was no food in the brewery but there was a good food truck outside. In general it was a great place with a lot of really awesome beers. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

stopped by the brewery on my way back to the airport. very glad I did.

They had a very large number of tabs with some awesome brews. Most beers you can get a sample.
Torcedores Series Lab Rat White IPA 4.25
southern slice 4.00
Humidor Series Smoked English-Style Stout 4
Guava Grove American Sour Ale 4.25

I wish they had more of their beers available in bombers. There were only two types available and i got both. There also was a large number of their can of the standard favoriates like the jai alai IPA etc.

Its a cool place and I love that they have a person hand rolling cigars in the tasting room. The staff isn't the friendliest, and lack of food selection really hurt my reviews. Overall I will be going back, hopefully when it is a little less crowded. It really had a college bar feel to it. Maybe I'm being a little too harsh, but I'm used to places like Founders, Sierra and Stone which all set the bar very high.

great place to get a brew, just avoid it on weekends if you hate crowds. otherwise the expansion offers extra seating. food there is ok but food trucks service boosts the food. pricing is good and variety is fantastic. lots of merchandise to purchase as well. a great brewery experience!

Cigar City is a great stop if you are in the Tampa area. They have recently expanded their brewpub to accommodate the large quantity of people. They have a variety of seating options including the bar, wine barrel tables, outdoor seating. They now have a front and back bar. The back bar has more options on tap and a digital tap list that sinks with the online list so its always up to date. The servers are great and always friendly. For entertainment they have a crazy long shuffle board table and last time I was in there they also had a cigar roller. Finally Cigar city does not offer any food but there is often a food truck on site just in case you get the munchies .

Recommended. With a revolving mix of 15 Cigar City beers and a few guest beers, there's always something new and interesting. Samples are available (4 small pours). And there's usually some new large format for sale near the front door.

And there is a wide variety of styles represented.

The crowd is often a post-work happy hour group, folks from out of town, and beer enthusiasts.

First time was on Hunahpus Eve. Awesome place with 20+ or so beers on tap. Pinball and shuffleboard along with 2 bar areas and great service. People and staff were very friendly. Great place. Coming back tomorrow for the big party!

Keep coming back and now have a Catador membership. Lots of bottles and cans in the fridge, always something new on tap. These guys kill it constantly. The beers are usually quality, but some of the flavor combos just don't work. That's OK. Let them experiment. Can get flights of beers and that's the way to go with so many on tap. Neat growlers on Tuesdays. Must visit while in Tampa.
