Poured from a 750ml champagne bottle into a tulip glass (beer is 7.2% ALC/VOL) which is brewed and bottled in Ste-Croix, Switzerland.

A: Pours a nice reddish/brown hue with a mellow head that dissipates instantly leaving a small amount of lacing in it's tracks.

S: Sour dough bread with cherries and peppery woodiness that is dry and sweet. Clean and dry with no funk. Pretty much perfect!

T: Dry, clean, woody and sour; with a nice vinegar/pinot finish. Absolutely delicious - one of the better (non-belgian) Oud Bruins i've ever had the privilege of tasting.

M: Light to medium bodied with a dry and creamy finish; light carbonation and dryness that rolls across the palate nicely - super quality overall!

D: Beyond the norm. Could drink massive amounts of this - dry and easy to drink in large amounts. At 7.2% these are easy to crush!

Bought a 1 PT 9.4 FL OZ bottle of this from Hair of the Dog in St. Louis, MO for $18. Poured from the bottle w/ a farm house scene sketched all across the label and definitely a sunset behind it into a 0,47l New Belgium Oversized Snifter Glass. Does not have a freshness date on the bottle.

Aroma- An extremely complexed aroma (surprisingly!). Starts with a strong sourness that has not cherries but raspberries that dominate the nose. This also contains a ton of sweetness and then finishes with a bit of a goaty attribute. Everything well blended together.

Appearance- Pours a 3 finger, off-white head that has average retention. A burgundy color makes up the body and good clarity is involved. Good lacing is left but never sticks, just falls back in the drink.

Flavor- Initially sour and then sweetness hits the tongue. No wait, back to a sour note at the finish, and then more fruitiness and malt? Very wild stages of the drink! I'm sure this is due to the complexity but man, does it throw your mouth for a spin! Maybe have very light raspberries but I mostly was concentrating on this sweet-sour battle all the time.

Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Light Carbonation, Has a very tough to determine finish with both sweet and sour notes.

Overall Impression- What an Oud Bruin! I had to pass this one around the bar to let others experience this brew. Would throw this on my top 5 Oud Bruin Hall of Fame list without a doubt. Love to see if others note this sweet-sour battle all the way through the drink. Like nothing I've had before!

A: poured into a tulip glass from a 750ml at Amsterdam in SF. It pours an opaque muddy nut brown with some caramel notes. There is a fine lacing that sticks to the glass briefly.

S: The nose is vinegary and lemony. It has a wet nose with woody notes and some funk, like a barnyard funk. The smells all come together to make a super mouthwatering smelling beer.

T: Yummy! The taste is similar to the nose. There is a great vinegar flavor in there, not baslmic, that is nicely subtle and blends into the lemony tart notes. Underripe green fruit. There are great barnyard and funk notes, wet hay, oak, an earthiness. It starts out nicely with a sour/tart then mellows out a bit, while still retaining a nice sourness throughout the beer.

M: The mouthfeel is medium with low carbonation, but with a nice zing. The main body is juicy, then it fades Into a dry finish.

O: Overall it is a really nice, very tasty beer. It is a super drinkable and wonderfully balanced sour.

On tap at avenue pub nola...f-ing awesome!
Pours a flat wine like ruby brown into a wine glass. Thin white lacing rims the glass.
Amazing cherry tart aroma with a bit of caramel.
Flavors of tart cherry and caramel brown. Slightly sweet and nicely tart and puckering. Its not over acidic at all. This is fantastic. Trois dame really makes some amazing brews...sours in particular and this does not dissapoint.

Pours cloudy, but settles to the color of dark stained wood. The thin beige head dissipates quickly, leaving minimal, soapy lacing. Light aromas of oak and cherries, with a strong whiff of sticky sweet balsamic vinegar reduction. Smells fresher than your average Oud Bruin, with the brightness of fresh grapes. The yeastiness coming through is funkier than expected, reminiscent of a saison. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and a bit dry. Sweet notes of caramel and roasted almonds play nicely against mild flavors of tart fruit. The finish has a lingering balsamic vinegar sharpness
