Bottle pours a hazy ruby body with a small light pink head. Some spotty lace is on the goblet.

Aroma of strawberry jam and strawberry jolly ranchers.

Light medium body, medium carbonation and a prevailing natural and artificial strawberry sweetness.

Taste is strawberry jolly ranchers with some strawberry jam. I'm not picking up any yeast, pepper, or coriander notes, maybe a hint of mustiness. Finishes with a strawberry note and leaves a strawberry jam aftertaste.

How many times can you type "strawberry" in a beer review? If you like strawberry jam or jolly ranchers, you might want to try this one, but its more artificial than natural and a bit cloying.

Had on tap at Rose Alley, New Bedford

Appearance: moderate carbonation, 1/2 inch head, fluorescent pinkish-purple in color, cloudy

Smell: strawberry cocktail

Taste: strawberries, passionfruit, some wheat. Kinda like a strawberry cocktail.

Mouthfeel: sweet but not as sweet as I expected, medium carbonation throughout, light body

Drinkability: I dunno, I guess this may be a beer. It tastes more like a strawberry cocktail that I would expect to get on a cruise ship. As an overall beverage, it is not bad. But if you are looking for a strawberry beer, go with Covington’s or Sam Smiths

Been meaning to try this one for ages, finally found it at the LCBO.

It pours an opaque rose colour, leaving just a little bit of head. It looks like a thin strawberry smoothie.

The smell is terrific, like strawberry pulp. Not too much else.

The taste is very sweet, certainly all strawberry, until the finish, which is just a little bit sour like a traditional wit. Mouthfeel is a bit thick, like the end of a milkshake. Carbonation is not very strong.

Despite its merits, I doubt I could drink too many of these. As a dessert beer, definitely. It's just...it's not beer, but it's a well-made fruit beverage to be sure. Worth trying.

Poured in a chilled pint glass...

Appearance - What an interesting pouring beer! Always odd to see a strawberry colour beer and a head that has the sane hue to it. Beers pours with a good amount of head 1.5 inch + and lingers for a bit. Colour is exactly as mentioned, nice strawberry colour. The aroma was noticeable as well.

Smell - Exactly as you would think with this type of beer, very strong strawberry smell. Slight barley smell, but dominated by the origins of the beer.

Taste - This is NOT a beer based tasting, i would consider it more like a daiquiri or fruity taste. Has a solid taste and delivers what it was made for, a strawberry punch.

Mouthfeel - not a lot happens in the mouthfeel. The taste is dominant again, not a lot of carbonation activated.

Drinkability - Given the context of this beer and what it is met for, i would drink it again. This is a good after dinner beer, but not something u can sit around and drink for hours on end.

A 250ml bottle with a BB of Oct 2012.

Poured into a Stella chalice. A very hazy pink colour with a pale reddish head of foam. No light passes through the glass and it is impossible to gauge carbonation. Some lumps of yeast collect at the bottom, and considerable residue remains in the bottle after emptying. An intense aroma of strawberries hits you immediately - sweet and fruity with an acidic undertone.

The taste is also intensely fruity - a powerful strawberry flavour with considerable sweetness. Any malt or beer notes are virtually masked, although there is a yeasty tartness that underpins the fruit. Mouthfeel is smooth and slightly astringent upon swallowing. Faint strawberry aftertaste.

This slips down easily - too easily. It's very sweet, though balanced by a reasonable acidic character. Would probably be rather cloying after more than one. I enjoy it and find it highly drinkable, but it's probably not for everyone. Would be best as refreshment on a hot day...

330 ml bottle with a BB March 2017 date stamp.
Looks like watered down strawberry puree with a thin, partial white head. Actually, not bad looking despite that description.
Nice mix of tart and sweet components with plenty of strawberry and strawberry jam flavor.

O: refreshing, fruity and not to sweet but best used as a dessert beverage.

Hmmmm, strawberry frozen yoghurt, strawberry Starburst, really sweet and candy-ish, way too sweet to be taken seriously, but not a total loss, some tartness, but its too sweet, like Belle-vues sweetened fruit beers. Too much of a candied cheery flavour, too sweet.

250ml bottle. Lunch on a patio, on a hot, sunny day. Internal fruity beer switch firmly locked in the 'on' position.

This beer pours a hazy pink and orangish brown colour, and kind of looks like fresh pressed apple cider, with a single finger of pink-tinged soapy white head, which leaves a bit of low-lying storm cloud lace as it swiftly disappears.

It smells of sweet strawberry juice, faint pale grain, and berry sugar. The taste is slightly tart strawberry juice, candy sugar, mild grainy, wheaty malt, and some faint citrus notes. Simply fruity, this one is.

The carbonation is moderate, and active enough to pull this a bit farther away from straight-up fruit juice, the body a sticky, fruit-juice-like medium-light weight, and a tad cloying. It finishes sweet, sugary, and fruity.

A decent enough, soft white ale, soaked to the nuts with real strawberry juice. Fine by me, for when you want beer, but at the same time a fruit smoothie. One's my limit, though I've seen others putting these back like water at various establishments around town.

Poured into a pokal.

The body is pink and hazy. Like the colour of berry punch. There's a solid two fingers of cotton candy head floating over top of it. The head is moderately well retained, and the walls of my glass are covered in sticky lace left behind as it recedes.

It smells like strawberries and sugar. Candy. It smells slightly tart. The strawberry smell is very natural.

Intense sweet strawberry flavour. It's both sweet and mildly sour at the same time. Very mild wheat twang in the finish. No hop presence whatsoever. As with the scent, the strawberry flavour is very natural tasting.

It tastes and smells exactly how I'd expect a sugar-sweetened witbier and strawberry juice to taste, and its delicious.

Without the yeast poured in, its a little thin. Swirl and pour the yeast to give it a little bit of substance. Even so, you really feel the blend of 30 percent fruit juice in this beer. It's on the light side with medium carbonation, but still feels sticky. This works really well as a light, intensely flavoured, and extremely satisfying dessert. Especially in the summertime.

On tap at The Abbey in Baltimore.

Appearance: As you can imagine, a Strawberry color. Some nice haze and not entirely clear.

Smell: Strawberry and malty fruit flavors. Seems legit and without extract, but who knows.

Taste: A nice balance between sweetness and tartness with the strawberries and malty flavors. Lingering fruity finish.

Mouthfeel: Champagne-like and sparkling carbonation that works really well.

Drinkability: A solid fruit beer, and certainly one I'd drink again. This was my first strawberry beer too I think.

Pink milkshake colour with lots of foam. Very strawberry aroma, enough real strawberry with the actual fruit bits, that the beer is disguised. Satisfying, well carbonated. Good fruity dessert aftertaste.I am not running after fruit beers, but this was the most natural of the many presented this summer in Ontario.
Over 6 years later when i had it again, and clearly extract. Not as good.

Had this one on-tap at RattlenHum served out of a Delerium Tremens snifter.

A: Served with a quarter finger white, wispy, fine head. Brew is light, semi-cloudy pinkish red. Lacing is lightly stringy with no stick.

S: Ever have Minute-Maid strawberry kiwi juice? EXACTLY like that.

T: Starts off with strawberry and perhaps some other unidentified ripe red fruit. Extremely sweet and this flavor kind of just fades, getting less and less sweet as the experience continues. I keep hoping I get something else but that's it. Plain ole' strawberry.

M: Light bodied and rather carbonated. Extremely wet in the mouth and finishes like water. Near no aftertaste.

D: Thanks but no thanks on this one. I want a beer not carbonated minute-maid juice, which is what this is. In fact... in retrospect, I'd probably rather have the juice instead.

Pours a clear red color with little head.

Smells like sweet strawberries.

The taste is exactly what the nose said it would be. Very sweet, but not unpleasant.

It feels a bit soda-like in a good way. Lost of carbonation and a bit light.

Drinks like a strawberry smoothie. Not bad at all.

Bought a bottle for my wife & thought what the heck? So I got a bottle for me; here goes:

Pours an effervescent caramel/orange with a pinky of cream colored head. Average head retention & very good lacing

S: Strawberry jam & kiwi

T: Strawberry jam, a hint of watermelon & a touch of acidity up front. More of the same as it warms, plus a touch of dryness. Finishes with jolly rancher-like sweetness, plus a touch of dryness

MF: Light bodied & pleasant carbonation levels

Pretty refreshing, reminds me of a strawberry nehi beer shandy. Nothing I'd session on, but would happily use this a dessert course beer or just a whistle wetter, not bad, some tartness would've helped IMO. Ocer priced at $4 for 8.8 ozes

Appearance - Pours a peach color that somewhat reminds of of apple juice. ..just a touch darker. It leaves an average amount of white frothy head on top. Not a bad looking beer.

Smell - This smell is so strong. I could catch whiffs from a few feet away after pouring this beer. Its all sweet strawberries. The aroma is very nice.

Taste - The taste is all strawberries as predicted. Almost reminds me of some type of fruit cola as it is so sweet. Can tell there are small hints of wheat there but not much. This beer tastes nice but is too sweet.

Mouthfeel - Syrupy. The sugar causes your mouth to feel sticky after this one. Carbonation was slightly high as well.

Drinkalbility - Not bad...there is just too much sweetness in this beer for me. This does make it hard to go down.

Fruili is definitely worth a try or two. Not quite my thing but still a worthwhile venture.

A: This is not an aesthetically pleasing as far as beer goes, but it would make a pretty candle. It pours a cloudy, opaque pink-red with a thin layer of pinkish bubbles that dissipate quickly and leave no semblance of lacing. The least I can say is that it is interesting.

S: strawberry, they hit hard and they hit fast and leave no room for other smells to mingle in. It’s a nice smell, but not appetizing for a beer; even a fruit beer.

T: Once again there is an overpowering strawberry flavor that is actually cloying and a bit too much. And once again, this is just too fruity for a fruit beer; I detect no hops, malt, or anything beer like about this.

MF: no surprises here: syrupy, little carbonation, diabetes inducing and chewy. I expect a fruit beer to be more light and enjoyable on a hot day, but this is just too filling.

O: This seems like it should be classified as a strawberry cider. It would be ok as strawberry cider; but as far as this goes for being a “fruit beer,” no way. To sweet and heavy and I would most likely turn this down even if offered it for free. I will say that if I can get my girlfriend (who adamantly hates beer) to Johansson’s to try this and she liked it I would get a bottle on some special occasions just for her.

Served from tap into a sampler tumbler. Poured a massively hazy orange with a slight pink hue with a minimal off-white head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, pastry, strawberry, and cream. The flavor was of sweet malt, strawberry, cream, and reminded me of strawberry shortcake. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a very nice dessert brew. If you enjoy dessert beers or strawberry shortcake, you will feel right at home with this one. Unfortunately for this brew, I wasn't in the mood for either. It was good for what they were shooting for, but just not my style.

Pours a cloudy orange-brownish pink which reminded me of what you'd get if you mixed orange and cranberry juices in roughly equal proportions, with the exception of the fairly small light pink head. Honestly, I could barely bring myself to taste it. Smell is, unsurprisingly, dominated by strawberry, but was very sweet, and had yeasty undertones. Not bad, but not beery. Taste is sweet strawberry, like yogurt, but with a slightly tart yeast in the finish. Mouthfeel is flat, rather like the aforementioned juice combo, and drinkability is okay, but I'm put off by how utterly disgusting it looks.

250 ml bottle.

A: Red/pink and cloudy. About the colour you'd expect for strawberry. Big fluffy head.
S: Fruity, definitely strawberry.
T: Very sweet, but it's only 250 ml, which seems like an appropriate serving size for something this sweet.

Definitely enjoyed this, but I can't see it being more than a once in a while thing.

Pours a pale red colour with a bubbly off-white(very faintly pink) head. The head fades to a thick ring around the edge of the glass. The smell is strawberries. Lots of fresh strawberry. Fairly sweet and tart.

Taste is, much like the smell, strawberry! Surprise surprise. It's good though, a fairly natural strawberry flavour. The witbier to this beer is fairly well hidden. The finish is tart, not the distinct ending you'd expect from a belgian white.

Mouthfeel is thick in a syrup way. Almost a bit sticky. Carbonation is fair and works well for the beer. The only thing keeping this beer from being exceptionally drinkable is that I can't see myself wanting to drink a strawberry drink all night.

Pretty tasty brew, I don't regret picking it up.

A - poured a three finger fluffy head - that dissipated to half a finger - good lacing - deep red stawberry colour - cloudy

S - huge strawberry scent with some wheat balancing it out

T - sweet strawberries with a witbier like backbone - cloves - some bitter orange peel in the finish

M - really enjoyed this aspect - sweet yet tart and dry - very creamy and smooth despite the sweetness

O - why have I avoided this!!! Really enjoyable and I will now grab this from time to time when I have a sweet tooth.

Pours dark pinky red with a quickly fading head.
Nose shows ripe strawberries, confectionery and also a toothpaste note.
Sweet flavours, too sweet. Lots of strawberry, but it seems a little artificial. A little tang redeems things and makes it refreshing.
Needs more carbonation.
Gets a bit sickly sweet.

I didn't like the beer at all. I loved the look of the bottle and that's pretty much it.

I tried this beer in a wheat beer glass. The color is nice with it's pink color and the smell is just pure strawberry, wich smell really good.

But I just found that it taste more like a strawberry cooler than beer. I reviewed it on 3 separate occasion with different kinds of glasses and directly from the bottle but I still didn't like it. Althought I found it better tasting directly from the bottle.

Appearance. Pours a murky, red-orange with a fluffy, bubbly white head.

Smell. You guessed it, strawberries!! Reminds me of Strawberry marshmallow candies. Sweet and yummy.

Taste. Sweet, strawberry candy. Just a hint of tartness and alcohol. Maybe a little funky belgian yeast in there too. Different and yummy.

Mouthfeel. Full bodied with medium-light carbonation. A little syrupy.

Overall. Nice for dessert but wouldn't want to drink a bunch. Will try again if I'm in the mood for something sweet.

Poured from an 8.4 ounce bottle into a tulip glass.

Had a small light pink head that vanished rather quickly. The smell is all strawberries. Kind of like a strawberry daiquiri, or a strawberry wine cooler. More strawberries in the taste, of course. More watery and tart than I would have liked it to be.

It's an okay beer, but not worth the $3.69 I paid for a single bottle. I don't even think it would be worth $2.
