A Pours a hazy pink orange color with a little light pink head that sink immediately.

S - Strawberries, wheat, sugar.

T - Follows the nose with strawberry candy, sugar fruit compote, Sweet but dry on the aftertaste. Wheat adds a nice touch.

M - Very smooth medium body. Finishes dry and tart.

Drinks very good with a smooth feel and a nice finish. Reminds me of a strawberry rhubarb sauce that goes great on biscuits.

This small 8.2oz brown bottle comes with a freshness date notched into the back label. This bottle is notched for the 4th week of March 2012, so it's still plenty fresh.

The beer poured a pale pink and slightly hazed strawberry color with a 1½-finger white head that dissipated rather quickly. Lacing was actually quite nice.

The smell is all fresh strawberries. Even though the label doesn't claim to use fresh strawberries, but rather fruit juice, orange peel, and coriander - all I get is fresh strawberries.

Strawberry-orange flavor, but lacking the traditional Belgian yeast tartness. No trace of the coriander spice they claim to use, just a sweet, juicy, strawberry flavor.

Light and refreshing. Sweet without being cloying. Medium carbonation level.

This one won't win any awards, but it's a tasty sweet treat that I enjoyed for what it is.

A - poured a three finger fluffy head - that dissipated to half a finger - good lacing - deep red stawberry colour - cloudy

S - huge strawberry scent with some wheat balancing it out

T - sweet strawberries with a witbier like backbone - cloves - some bitter orange peel in the finish

M - really enjoyed this aspect - sweet yet tart and dry - very creamy and smooth despite the sweetness

O - why have I avoided this!!! Really enjoyable and I will now grab this from time to time when I have a sweet tooth.

on tap at lazyboy saloon white plains ny 8/17/11

a cranberry body with a white head. Sweet sugar and strawberries are the essence of this brew. Delicious aroma but how does it hold up. Chewy and sweet with a soft strawberry flavor. Well if this is what was set out to be done its a hell of a sugar sweet brew with a lingering sweetness. its honestly delicious, it tastes like a sweetened fruit juice, but with alcohol. im not sure i could really drink more than one of these, as far as beer goes it hardly seems as such but whatever it tastes dam good.

Bottle poured into my Bell's tulip.

A: Cloudy orange red hue. Huge two fingers of light pink head. Good retention. Sticky lace.

S: Wow full on strawberry. Reminds me a lot of frankenberry cereal. There isn't much else going on here except pure unadulterated strawberry power.

T: Now the bottle claims orange peel and coriander. None here in this bottle. Loads of strawberry and definite pale malt finish. It actually works. It's starts out all berry and finishes like a euro lager. So weird but not bad.

M: Light bubbly body.

O: Strange and over the top but surprisingly refreshing and drinkable.

I am re-reviewing this beer while leaving the original review in place. I've never done that before, so it'll be fun I guess. The saved rating will be from the 2nd review, though I'll put the original scores next to the original review in parenthesis.

Review 1 - Small bottle poured into a plastic cup. Oh well
Review 2 - Bottle poured into a small wine glass.

Appearance 1 - Cloudy pink-red body. Small white head with no retention. (3)
Appearance 2 - Opaque dark red body with 1/2 finger pink head and decent retention. (4.5)

Smell 1 - Hi-C juice box sweetness. Slight bitterness at the end of the nose. (4)
Smell 2 - Strongly smells like Smuckers strawberry jam. Unmistakably. (4)

Taste 1 - Tart. Grapefruit. Sweet. Strawberry. (4)
Taste 2 - Slightly tart strawberry. Very sweet. (4)

Mouthfeel 1 - Light and effervescent. Clean with slight bitterness in the finish. (4)
Mouthfeel 2 - Low effervescence. Medium body. Slight sprite. (3.5)

Overall Drinkability 1 - Pretty decent beer. Nothing complex or challenging, just refreshing and great at that. (4)
Overall Drinkability 2 - Pretty decent. (3.5)

A - I don't know. If you like your "beer" reddish pink this one would deliver. Fizzy white head like soda or wine cooler, foam disappears rapidly.

S -Smell is incredibly, but not surprisingly an intense strawberry. No hint of malt in there.

T - Well I can't think of it as a beer or ale, but it's intense strawberry sweetness was pleasant for approximately 8.4 ounces. Maybe I could even drink two, but it's mostly a novelty to me.

M - Foamy and fizzy strawberry pop!

O - Not really beer, but fun to drink on occasion. Very strawberry

On draft at Capone's in Philadelphia.

The beer looks like strawberry juice - fresh squeezed. Pink grapefruit juice with little head. The aroma brings sweet strawberry juice...and...well...that's about it (Cartman impression). The flavor is one dimensional, but honestly, it's well done and I have no issues. A strawberry spritzer beer. Really delicious and easy to drink. Low alcohol and refreshing on a hot day. I'm a fan.

8.4oz bottle poured into a Lindemans flute.

A - Murky, opaque, raspberry color with a fizzy head that quickly dissapates.

S - Smells like a strawberry daquiri made with fresh strawberries.

T - Strawberry daquiri with a nice tart bite on the end. Not as sweet as I expected, which was a nice surprise.

M - Light and bubbly.

O - Nothing mind blowing but a nice little beer, something a little different. The wife loved it and it went well with dessert. Definitely worth trying.

Had on tap at Rose Alley, New Bedford

Appearance: moderate carbonation, 1/2 inch head, fluorescent pinkish-purple in color, cloudy

Smell: strawberry cocktail

Taste: strawberries, passionfruit, some wheat. Kinda like a strawberry cocktail.

Mouthfeel: sweet but not as sweet as I expected, medium carbonation throughout, light body

Drinkability: I dunno, I guess this may be a beer. It tastes more like a strawberry cocktail that I would expect to get on a cruise ship. As an overall beverage, it is not bad. But if you are looking for a strawberry beer, go with Covington’s or Sam Smiths

A: This is not an aesthetically pleasing as far as beer goes, but it would make a pretty candle. It pours a cloudy, opaque pink-red with a thin layer of pinkish bubbles that dissipate quickly and leave no semblance of lacing. The least I can say is that it is interesting.

S: strawberry, they hit hard and they hit fast and leave no room for other smells to mingle in. It’s a nice smell, but not appetizing for a beer; even a fruit beer.

T: Once again there is an overpowering strawberry flavor that is actually cloying and a bit too much. And once again, this is just too fruity for a fruit beer; I detect no hops, malt, or anything beer like about this.

MF: no surprises here: syrupy, little carbonation, diabetes inducing and chewy. I expect a fruit beer to be more light and enjoyable on a hot day, but this is just too filling.

O: This seems like it should be classified as a strawberry cider. It would be ok as strawberry cider; but as far as this goes for being a “fruit beer,” no way. To sweet and heavy and I would most likely turn this down even if offered it for free. I will say that if I can get my girlfriend (who adamantly hates beer) to Johansson’s to try this and she liked it I would get a bottle on some special occasions just for her.

Since my encounter with strawberry smell in a beer with Old Horizontal Barleywine, I decided on a whim to actively seek out and acquire the most 'Strawberriffic' beer in existence, and this is rumored to be it.
Pours a strange pinkish red color. Head is somewhat foamy but quickly recedes, with some lovely lacing patterns. There is a sickly aroma of those individually wrapped strawberry candies that absolutely assaults and overwhelms your senses. Very much like jam, preserves, or that artificial filling in the middle of your jelly donuts.
Can't smell or taste any malts at all. The only indication of a "beer" here is merely a very faint yeasty twinge underneath the massive explosion of sugary noxious cloying donut filling. And it coats your mouth like donut filling, as well, ruining the mouthfeel.
This in my mind fits more into the category of an alcopop than a beer. Or maybe one of those sickly sweet wine coolers that your casual drinker friend likes. But for my money, I might as well measure out a teeny tiny splash of vodka into strawberry Kool-Aid, it would taste just as terrible in the end for much less cash.

Bought a 8.4 oz bottle of this from Payless Liquors in Fischer, IN for $3.99. Poured from the White/Red Foil Wrapped bottle into my Samuel Adam's Pint Glass and had this for my girlfriend, but now going to review for my own notes.

Aroma- Starts with an artificial Strawberry flavor and a sweet cherry candy. Extremely malty and has an absent hop aroma. Decent but nothing special.

Appearance- Pours a 2 finger bubbly head that dies very quickly. A clear, light brown/dark apple juice colored body and has huge carbonation bubbles. The lace was nice and coated almost have of the glass. (NOTE: Once the drink was almost finished, there are what appears to be strawberry seeds in the bottom of the glass. Wild!)

Flavor- Sweet Strawberries from the start but in malt beverage form... Not quite what I thought this time trying from when I had it in Indiana. Definitely has a wine cooler taste and no hops or bitterness. Tons of sugar must have been added to enhance this beer. Will give an average rating because it is very enjoyable.

Mouthfeel- Light Bodied, HUGE carbonation, and leaves strawberries on the palate.

Overall Impression- To drink a beer or not drink a beer? This is a tough question. Extreme malts and sugars used, so I can't give it a fair rating. Is very enjoyable and is perfect for the palates of many women who like fruit beers. Have never seen this in St. Louis, so I'm glad I picked it up!

A: It pours a red-orange colour with a small pink head.

S: It smells like strawberries, a lot like strawberries.

T: It tastes like strawberries; they are more prominent at the start as you can taste wheat and malts towards the end. It is also a little sweet, but it is not overdone.

M: This has a medium body with high carbonation.

O: This is an excellent beer, I will definitely buy it again. It is a nice change from the norm, I have not tastes another beer like it; it’s almost like half beer half cooler, but in a good way. It would be good to drink before driving, a tiny 250 mL bottle at 4.1% abv wouldn’t blow a 0.01.
