It is what it is. I'm reviewing this to its style.

Hazy ruby with a light pink head, which is actually quite gorgeous. Aromas and flavors are just dominated by super, super sweet strawberry preserves (ie strawberries and sugar, and more sugar). Thick coating of strawberries left on the palate. I'd go for this one again as an appetizer or dessert beer, but having this alone will give me an unwanted sugar high and having it with a meal will completely drown out the flavors of the food.

8.4 ounce bottle - $3.49 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Slips out a clouded, dulled, pinkish-red body with a scant, bubbly head.

Smell: Notably sweet-scented with the strawberry additive and in no way evocative of a beer. Candy, syrup, soda, gum, maybe.

Taste: Sugary sweet strawberry-flavored candy given a small twinge of acidity. Wait, you're telling me there's a witbier under all this sugar? Get oughta here! No, I mean it, leave immediately.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Lightly carbonated.

Overall: Man, that was one pricey alcopop!

A: Appearance of red fruit punch with a bit of head that quickly vanishes to leave a ring of bubbles that cling to the glass.

S: Strawberry jam with that syrupy sugar aroma. Also picking up some orchard fruits like apples and pears. Yeast faintly through the dominant berry smell, and some sparkling mineral water aroma present too.

T: Very sweet and syrupy strawberry upfront with hints of crisp apple and ripe banana. Tart and dry in the middle but quickly disappears to finish oddly bland and empty.

M: Light mouthfeel with below average carbonation I'd say for this style.

D: Not sure I would seek this out again, but glad I finally got around to trying this. Not a big fan of this style done with the syrupy sweet, almost artificial-like, taste.

Poured from a 250 ml bottle into a small chalice. Pours a hazy mauve-pink color, with a 1/4" white head that quickly reduces to a mere swirl of head.

Has a fresh strawberry aroma, like strawberry jam, with undertones of sweet orange peel. Very unsubtle; this is a one-note wonder.

Tastes of concentrated strawberry, intense and sweet. Has a tartness midway through the sip, ending with hint of caramelized sugar.

Mouthfeel is light and fizzy, very easy drinking.

A decent strawberry beer for people who like strawberries and wine coolers. It is no Samuel Smith strawberry beer, which is the gold standard of strawberry beers.

A - Pretty champagne pink, near white thin head. Some fine bubbled cling lace.

S - Sour strawberries. Something a little medicinal to it as well.

T - Yuch. First sip wasn't so bad, but the third is hard to manage. Taste like a wine cooler that has gone bad.

M - Obviously, clingy artificial cloying doesn't make for a great beer.

D - Interesting, but I don't think I will finish it.

This beer was served in a pint glass.

A- The body of the beer is a bright bubbly pink coloration. The head was 2 fingers high a lightly pink tinge noted to a fluffy white head. Nice head retention. The beer leaves thick rings of lacing on my glass.

S- The aroma of this beer reminds me of my grandmothers strawberry preserves. Citrus and peppery coriander tickle my nose providing a supreme resting spot for strawberries.

T- The flavor of strawberry puree leads the charge. A bit of subdued peppery coriander and the zest of an orange finish up the flavor. Yeah this one is sweet. The beer never enters into the cloying sweet realm.

M- The beer has a viscous feel. The carbonation is active but I think it needs a bit more carbonation.

O- This beer is definitely a sweet treat. I am glad it came in an 8 oz bottle because more than that would be too much. This beer would pair wonderfully with dessert. This beer is definitely a guilty pleasure. Your man card is sure to take a beating if you get caught drinking this by your buddies.

A - Red Kool-Aid and ice tea. Bright white head with very low lace.

S - Fresh strawberry puree.

T - 90% Strawberry soda. Soft wheat backdrop. Cream.

M - Incredibly refreshing. Light body with great carbonation. If I was in the mood for something sweet on a hot summer day I'd drink this over lemonade.

O - Definitely a beer to have on a 90+ degree day. Outside of that niche though it's way too sweet to be a regular session beer.

Served on draught in the Porterhouse by Grafton street. Reviewed from notes.

A: A one finger lovely cream head. Poor retention. Hazy weissbier strawberry grapefruit red. Lovely.

Sm: Remarkable berry. Very strong scent of strawberry ester. Wonderful.

T: Lovely strawberry build but too strong on the finish. I'd like it to start strong and deteriorate by the finish.

Mf: Far too fizzy. Very chewy. The wetness suits the style, but should dry up just a bit by the finish.

Dr: You may not want to be seen drinking it by the lads, but for what it is, it's delightful. Too syrupy. Too expensive in Dublin.

Appearance. Pours a murky, red-orange with a fluffy, bubbly white head.

Smell. You guessed it, strawberries!! Reminds me of Strawberry marshmallow candies. Sweet and yummy.

Taste. Sweet, strawberry candy. Just a hint of tartness and alcohol. Maybe a little funky belgian yeast in there too. Different and yummy.

Mouthfeel. Full bodied with medium-light carbonation. A little syrupy.

Overall. Nice for dessert but wouldn't want to drink a bunch. Will try again if I'm in the mood for something sweet.

Strawberry pink as expected & not transparent. slightly bubbly though. There was no head at all, only the thinnest of lacing left around the top of the glass. I added an extra point here simply because it was different to me, otherwise it would have rated slightly lower.

A very strong smell of strawberry from the second the bottle is open. Smells very much like strawberry flavoured hard candy. A very a nice aroma but nothing like your usual beer smell.

A nice, strong strawberry flavour to begin with that is very similar to a Bacardi breezer or a sparkling rosy wine. The beer like after taste is not to good though & has a kind of musty feel to it that lingers in your mouth. Starts very well but this doesn't last & in the end I was sick of drinking it after a few mouthfuls.

This one was light bodied with plenty of carbonation and a lot of fizz in the beer, almost like drinking a fizzy soft drink and totally unlike a beer. Quite an easy going mouthfeel.

A nice, pleasant beer to start with that goes downhill after a couple of drinks and starts to make you wish you stuck to a 'normal' beer. Good as a one of change but I was glad it came in a 250ml bottle as you would have probably given up on it after that much.

250-ml brown glass bottle poured into a Kriek Boon chalice/tulip. Served at around 40 degrees F.

Pours extremely hazy to the point of opacity, showing off an orange-tinged pinkish hue with a pale blush foamy head that settles fairly quickly to a thick, rocky cap that leaves behind some long splotches of lace on the walls of the glass.

Aroma is patently strawberry -- dried strawberries or strawberry preserves, to be precise. As much as I try to pick up anything else, nothing comes through. The great thing about it is that the aroma is in no way artificial, rather very genuine. It's quite appetizing, to be honest.

Light in body but with a bit of wheaty protein providing a bit of fullness to the mouthfeel; quite effervescent, with powerful, bracing bubbles barraging the palate. More ripe strawberries engulf the palate, balanced by a rather tart acidity that keeps things from becoming cloying. Sweet jammy preserves show up again in the finish, lingering for quite some time afterward.

Perhaps not the most complex beer out there, but as far as fruit beers go, this one certainly stands out. With the fruit taking the center stage throughout, it's nice to see that the characteristics are genuine and not overly cloying, as is the case with many beers of this fashion. Though I can't say how cloying a few could become, as it stands, this is one hell of a drinkable beer, and it would undoubtedly be a prime choice in the hot summer months. I almost feel that I should be pouring it into a blender with some ice, or using it as a mixer for a fruity mixed drink. Something else.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a cloudy consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. OK lacing.

S: A very strong, potent smell of strawberries. Couldn't detect much of anything else, but it was pleasant.

T: Tasted of strawberries, strawberries, and more strawberries. There's a slight (very slight) maltiness, but this is overwhelmed by the tart, vibrancy of the fruit.

S: A highly carbonated beer with a surprisingly dry and smooth finish. Light-bodied.

D: I guess your attitude toward this beer depends on how much you like strawberries. I found it to be drinkable.

A 250ml bottle with a BB of Oct 2012.

Poured into a Stella chalice. A very hazy pink colour with a pale reddish head of foam. No light passes through the glass and it is impossible to gauge carbonation. Some lumps of yeast collect at the bottom, and considerable residue remains in the bottle after emptying. An intense aroma of strawberries hits you immediately - sweet and fruity with an acidic undertone.

The taste is also intensely fruity - a powerful strawberry flavour with considerable sweetness. Any malt or beer notes are virtually masked, although there is a yeasty tartness that underpins the fruit. Mouthfeel is smooth and slightly astringent upon swallowing. Faint strawberry aftertaste.

This slips down easily - too easily. It's very sweet, though balanced by a reasonable acidic character. Would probably be rather cloying after more than one. I enjoy it and find it highly drinkable, but it's probably not for everyone. Would be best as refreshment on a hot day...

Glass: Standard 10oz snifter
Type: 8.4fl oz bottle

Poured this for my girlfriend, but only drinking enough to review it, otherwise she may bite my hand off. Poured gently, 1-finger head, reduces to thin film, less-than-average lacing, color is cloudy red with orange streaks. Aroma is of strawberry jam, and nothing else. Taste is the same, but not as fruity as I'd expect, yet still great. Not much residual sweetness left on the palate between tastes. This would be a fine beer to drink one after another, but I'd rather drink some more mysterious brews.

Saw this at Austin Liquors and figured I would give it a try. Pleasantly surprised at this one. Poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - Pours a nice cloudy rosey pink that looks like a glass of well, strawberry juice. Very little head on the pour with a super faint white halo around the brew.

S - Wow, this smells like well, strawberry jam. Not artificial at all very real smelling. Nice jam sweetness.

T - Not really sure how a strawberry beer can get better. I mean, if you're buying this you are looking for strawberry flavour and thats what this beer is full of. Tastes like a glass of melted strawberry jam. Its sweet, but not cloyingly so.

M - Would like a little more carbonation with this. Its somewhat low and is just a hair above syrupy.

D - Wow. This stuff is great. You get EXACTLY what you pay for. Oh? You want a strawberry beer? Okay, here you go, liquid strawberries at 4.1%. Wish more beers lived up their promises like this one.

A modest off-white head settles on this beer, with a modicum of lacing and moderate retention. It covers a muddled, reddish amber brew with a strawberry cast.

The strong aroma of fresh strawberries is uncanny, and overpowers any other scents. A big sip reveals the strawberry flavor infused with the beer as well, with a sweetness akin to a fruity soft drink. Decent carbonation gives a good mouth feel, but again, it reminds one of red pop. Just a hint of orange peel or citrus in the finish, with a hint of bittering hops to balance.

Definitely a dessert beer for special occasions that would pair nicely with chocolates or fruit tortes.

This is great stuff. The small bottle and low alcohol content give it the air of something made for just-legal drinkers to try first. Girly? Maybe. But as a female fan of sweet fruity things, I love Fruli.

It smells and tastes like real strawberry, not fake Strawberry Shortcake / wine cooler smell, and it's not quite as sweet as you might expect. It comes across as strawberry juice with a bit of carbonation and a faint hoppy aftertaste. The colour is a golden strawberry red with a fine foamy head. If you don't even like beer you might like this, because it's more about the strawberry than the beer.

It's like bottled summer, so drink it in the winter if you forget what warm weather is like.

I just had a craving for fruit juice, but I didn't have any in my place. Then I remembered I had a bottle of Fuli that I bought a bit ago. I haven't actually had one of these other than sip or 2 from friends' drinks before and I remember it tasting almost like fruit juice. I'll see now.

Pours a hazy orange colour with hints of pink. Head is settles down a half inch. Colour of the head is pretty much white, but just tinted pink. Some lacing on the glass. Smells of sugary strawberries, almost like strawberry jam. Very sweet flavour. Fairly high carbonation, but it works well for this style. I really expected to have a bad review of this from what I remember, but this hits the spot as a fruit beer. I wouldn't regularly drink this, but if you feel like a carbonated fruit beverage, it is nice.

Served from tap into a sampler tumbler. Poured a massively hazy orange with a slight pink hue with a minimal off-white head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, pastry, strawberry, and cream. The flavor was of sweet malt, strawberry, cream, and reminded me of strawberry shortcake. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a very nice dessert brew. If you enjoy dessert beers or strawberry shortcake, you will feel right at home with this one. Unfortunately for this brew, I wasn't in the mood for either. It was good for what they were shooting for, but just not my style.

Appearance is a cloudy dark red with a small amount of head. Smell is basically strawberry, maybe sweeter.

Taste is, well, strawberry. Picked up some spices but nothing really to identify it as beer. Thin bodied with medium carbonation. Aftertaste, strawberry, although picked up some bitterness.

This is basically like strawberry fruit juice, it's good and goes down quickly. I would recommend it, a good introduction to Fruit Beers.
