Pours golden yellow with a massive overflowing head at first. After it settles down, the lacing is quite nice but the head is minimal.
The aroma somewhat standard for a tripel. It's a little less sweet smelling which is nice, but comes across as a little dull due to that. Spice is also a bit lighter as well like I enjoy.
The flavor is subtle and tasteful without being weak. A bit of citrus and hop bitterness balance this quite well. It seems ever so slightly funky which makes it taste interesting while still having a typical bspa base.
The body is fairly full and of a moderate weight. The finish is slightly dry and just a tad sticky.
This was a bit better than I was expecting and I'm glad my friend got a bottle of this for me. The drinkability is just right. The 8.5% is well hidden and it isn't so light that I fly through it or so heavy that I'm sitting on it for a while.

On tap, poured into a snifter.
Appearance - gold, bubbly champagne. Thin, white head that leaves minimal lacing.
Smell - a bit underwhelming; some fruit sweetness and mild spices.
Taste - far exceeds the nose, very flavorful and refreshing!
Feel - light considering the ABV, but that isn't a negative. Finishes a bit dry.
Overall - a very good beer, but for the price, give me Duvel.
