Poured from a 750ml bottle into a tulip glass.
Appearance: A pale fairly clear golden straw color. Good carbonation with a finger and a half foamy head that retains well. Not a lot of lacing, but a little.
Smell: Sweet funky Belgian yeast, one of the best of BSPA scents of them all. A little spice hiding in there and a bit of floral hops.
Taste: For me, this is the gold standard for BSPA's, along with Duvel. Among the best the style has to offer. Sweet, but not overly sweet. Dry, but not overly dry. A high ABV, but no strong alcohol taste. Just delicious and sooo easy to drink.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, crisp, smooth.
Drinkability: Very drinkable. They do down so easily, and a session is easy to do with this beer. The higher ABV may catch up to you eventually, but it's so good, easy to drink and not too filling, that you may not care. I know I don't.
