Picked up a single from Colonial in Acton.
Appearance: Poured this into a tulip and it resulted with a 2 finger foamy white head. The beer is a pale gold, similar to a Duvel.
Smell: a sweet banana scent along with phenols and some spice. very nice!
Taste: primarily sweet and fruity with a bit of grass. The tastebuds pick up some corriander and pepper. Very clean tasting. The Tremens finish is a little too warm.
Mouthfeel: feels light and crisp on the tongue
Drinkability: This one is probably enjoyable only as a single for me because of the high ABV, which is definitely noted in the finish.
Overall: I liked this beer, but I love Duvel and I love Dupont's Avec les Bons Veoux more. Still a solid representative of the strong golden ale style.
