A: First of all, I love Delirium bottles. Very cool. This baby was carbonated! I took the wire off, peeled at the foil, and boom! The cork nearly blew my eye out. Poured into a tulip. Appearance is a light golden yellow with some glowing orange hues. Head is white, airy and uniform with good retention.
S: Lemon peel and candy citrus malt. Slight biscuit and honey notes.
T: As with the nose, sweet and malty with pleasant sugary lemon. Slight honey and sweet bread. The alcohol is present but is complemented very well by the sweetness. This is a good example of a citrusy malt done right. Simple and well done.
M: Full, bubbly body. Crisp and very well carbonated.
D: A very drinkable Belgian. It's up there with Duvel, although not as refined or complex. This one's got rougher edges, but it's still pretty damn good. Sweet and light without any real hop character and a well rounded citrus malt. Goes down real easy. As far as Delirium is concerned, I actually prefer Nocturnum. I wouldn't turn this one down if offered, though. Too bad it's kind of pricey. I'de be willing to drink it from a normal bottle to get a better price.
