12oz bottle, Boulevard tulip, either bottled on or best by 1/2011.
Very clear medium straw yellow is topped by thick pure white head. It fades to a quarter or eighth, but still creme dollop consistency.
Did I stumble into an apple juicery or cider maker's? Juicy, clean apple juice, dry, pale graininess, phenols abound.
Light, dry apple cider. There is a slight earthy undertone that is the only indication of hops. Pale grain is woven in and out of the fruit. This BSPA leans to the sweet, fruity, moderately alcoholic end of the spectrum.
Effervescent and medium dry. Lots of bubbles, but not the kind that tickle. Refreshing and sweet.
Apple is dominant and things are both slightly sweet and dry simultaneously. I prefer hoppier BSPAs, but this a certainly a good beer in its own right.
