330ml bottle into a duvel tulip

A: Pale, hazy and golden with a large, soapy white pillow for a head (duvel tulip makes it that much bigger) and vigorous carbonation.

S: Sweet yeast esters, banana and apple come to mind, a little alcohol comes through and the tiniest amount of earthy pepper in the background rounds it out.

T: Banana! This beer reminds me a nice hefe with Belgian yeast. There is the slightest citric tartness in there, with some grass notes, coriander seeds and of course a little bit of that good ol' Belgian 'funk' (I'm pretty sure they brush their teeth with it over there).

M: The carbonation really adds to this beers appeal, you can feel the tiny bubbles exploding with belgiany goodness on your palate.

O: This beer (along with duvel) are the abc of Belgian Strong Pales. An absolute must try.

A: Golden with a pillowy three finger white head that has excellent retention and leaves moderate clingy lacing. Some yeasty sediment is present but it is otherwise clear. Poured into a tulip glass.
S: Sweet malt, sweet fruits and slight citrus.
T: Sweet but not as much as the nose intimates. Malt backbone and spicy overtones are evident. Alcohol content is a bit hidden by flavors but becomes obvious with a bit of warming of the beer. Subtle and light bitter finish balance it off very nicely.
M: Medium bodied with effervescent carbonation.
O: Very drinkable and enjoyable beer that is worth having again. Pink Elephants from Belgium, who'd have thunk it?

Poured from bottle into pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy dark gold, with a three-finger white head. A good amount of lacing is left over as I drink.

Smell: It smells great! Malts, bananas, sweet fruits, and a hint of booze.

Taste: Amazing. Sweet and a bit tart, with a nice boozy malt taste to it. Mild fruityness to it as well. A very balanced brew.

Mouthfeel: Moderate body and moderate carbonation, should be sipped due to alcohol content.

Overall: My favorite beer of the style, so well balanced and delicious!

Pours a golden honey, very murky, with plenty of sediment in the bottle. Puffy pure white bubbles of all size fill the head with almost no lacing.

Smell is of tangy wheat grass and a light floral hop sweet undertone.

Taste is light grassy and wheat sweet, though not like the smell. This tang mellows with warmth. Not a lot of complexity, but good flavor.

It's highly carbonated, almost champagny, which smooths out as it warms. You can't tell this is and 8.5%abv as it hides the booze very well.

Though this is not my favorite style, I do like this beer. Tangy wheat in the nose and on tongue make this refreshing.
