Pours a deep hazy, brown, resembling chestnuts with a frothy tan head which slowly dissipates to just a thin film that hangs around throughout the beer with matching thin lacing.
Aroma consists of dark fruits, yeasts, brown sugar, figs and sweet dates.
The flavor offers immediate dark fruits, similar to the aroma, but also dark cherries and caramel malt. There are also bread like aspects and a slight kick of spice, perhaps peppery.
Big carbonation, medium to light in body, and nice smooth alcohol warmth that does not overwhelm.
Good brew, this is one of my favorite styles, and this is a delicious sampling. Great flavor complexities, and easy to drink. Very appealing overall.
